Why Does Our Belly Pan Sit So Low???

i am so pissed.... i just got low profile tires and with the setting i had it was way to low. So i had to raise the car about finger1/2 and i raised the rear so its a finger gap.. I hate it so much its making me mad.. I just dont want to crack the oil pan but i am about to lower the rear again a little. i just cant stand wheel gap.. my tire specs are 225/45/18 245/40/18

Those tire specs couples with 18s make the car lower than it would otherwise be b say on 19s... So if you are also eliminating any wheel gap, you will scrape quite a bit since the wheel base is so long.

Lower oil pan = lower engine = lower center of gravity = better handling.

You can't have everything.

your 45 series tires are 1" smaller diameter so it's 1/2" lower to the ground to start. Sounds like you don't like tire gap so even with normal tires you're probably liking a 1.5"-2" drop. You need to add another 1/2" for the smaller tires showing more gap. In total you are probably 2.5"-3" lower than stock which is pretty freaking low. Go back to 50 series or stock 19's and you can raise it up a full inch and keep the same gap.

245/45 up front and 245/40 in the back will look whacked. They are over 1" different diameter. Rear will be low profile while the front will have a lot more sidewall.

You're going to hit a lot of other things underneath the car before you hit the oil pan.

Saying those tires are low profile is like you saying you're slammed. Oh wait, you already do that.
