Here's an update, gentlemen:

Got my OEM spoiler (Blue Slate, body color) installed at dealer today. They had no problem D/C the origianl rear shelf 3rd brake light and connecting up the one on the spoiler (connected up the backup cam, too). It actually looks better than I thought. You know, for someone who's been bitching about not liking having a brakelight in the rear spoiler, this one is a thin strip of light and (to my eye) not so bad. As I drove around ewaiting for the spoiler to come in to the dealer I've noticed lots of rear spoilers with the third brakelight on 'em and finally got comfortable with the idea. I guess I just had to "get over it!"

Now, I've got on order an OEM G37 rear shelf without the third brake light but WITH the Bose speaker grills (in charcoal, same as my car). This will give a nice, clean, "bumpless" look to the rear deck.

After I drove away from the dealer I went to my local and highly recommended tinit shop and got on their schedule for 35% all-around Madico tint.

I think this might be "it" for mods on a leased vehicle.

Congrats and happy everything worked out i'm debating whether or not to order the rear spoiler from my dealer.

 

I ordered mines from the dealer & it has the break light! I'm having my dealer unplug the one on rear deck and just use the spoilers because I find it tacky to have both on

 

If you don't mind, what is the rear shelf costing?
