I have a G37x coupe and it has been making a weird noise whenever i roll over washboard surfaces at a slow to medium speed. it sounds like it comes from the right side of my car and resembles a loose part sound. so i brought it to the dealership for a service and had them check it out. later that day i was told that it was my sway bar end hitting the transverse link because they were bent and they had to replace both parts. 700 bucks later i got my car back and it seems to still make a noise. i looked under the car and could see that they did replace the transverse link but i feel that they may have just made that up because it was a costly repair. My car is lowered on eibach pro kit and they tried blaming it on that but i know its not true otherwise everybody would have this problem. do you think i was ripped off? is it even possible to bend both parts and have them clank against each other at such slow speeds?

 

I am not sure. It sounds like it could be a loose heat sheild.

 

well you admit that you're lowered.... did you bottom out on something? maybe you ripped the flex pipe a little bit and it's the noise from there?

Mine has been making the noise since I got it stock. Still makes it. I just learned to put up with it.

 

its definitely isnt any flex pipes and my car is an X so its auto (worst desision is trading my 6mt S for the 7at X).. either way is it possible that if i did hit a pot hole hard enough that i could bend my transverse link and swar bar end?
