i called and talked to the salesman at the infiniti dealership down the street and was wondering since im new to the g37 forums. he said that you have to have the journey model to have the sport option? is that true bc when i was building a g for fun online it had the sport model by itself so i was just curious

If you want it to be an automatic then yes, it has to be a journey with the sport package. The sport on the Infiniti website is a 6MT.

Ya you need journey for automatic trans sport package. You also need the premium package to get the sport package. Most dealers do not have the base G37 non journey in inventory either in my experience they are almost all journeys with either premium package /nav or loaded with prem/nav/sport

yeah it was confusing when he talked to me, i want the g37 sport 6mt with everything except tech package

The 6MT is actually just 1 trim level unique to itself now. It includes prem/nav/sport packages automatically (can not add or delete packages) and is 43k MSRP.

The only package you can add is the aerodynamic kit for 4k which is a custom order option

yea thats what i thought too, but he confused me when he kept saying i needed the journey model

Ya he probably confused package or trim level requirements with the automatic trans. Any 2011 6MT you get will be fully loaded so don't worry!

lol thanks man. so any 2011 g37 with 6mt will be fully loaded no matter what? he said it has everything except the spoiler? he said brand new he can get it to me for under 40k

Ya it will be fully loaded with all the main packages. The only things you can add are the accessories which include spoiler, kickplates, splashguards, etc. The accessories can be purchased ala carte and installed at anytime by dealer

You may want to check out the 6MT IPL also.

honestly i'd wait if you're gonna buy a new G. the IPL's just came out and they're making them better. if you're patient enough, a great new line of G's is lookin to come real soon

yeah i know man but if i do wait ill be spending somewhere in the 50k. ill be spending somewhere in the 30s for a new 2011 6mt

supposedly the new line of G's are coming 2012, if i were you id wait... and the new line of G's wont be in the 50's. and the ipl is just not even worth it to me.. id rather get the sport and add a couple of after market stuff and itll be better!
