TRADED IN THE 08 g37 COUPE!

--Cruise control went out 5 times, required 5 separate dealer visits. (finally fixed)
--Dash mat started peeling.(dealer fixed it, now peeling again)
--Passenger side AC vent trim peeled completely off.(fixed)
--O2 sensors failed on driver's side.(fixed)
--Front brakes warped pre maturely twice....and now a third time...all within 6k miles. (dealer changed pads and turned rotors)
--Pilot bearing went out which caused the clutch to develop hot spots and damaged the flywheel. (replaced clutch and bearing assembly)
--1st gear popping out, syncros in 2nd gear going bad (dealer replaced whole tranny)
Now my car is starting to shake in 1st gear again like it used to, and my advisor is getting an engineer to come out and look at it because nobody at the dealership has any idea what could be wrong with it. The technician that drove my car last week noticed it as well, but he had no clue what could be causing it. Oh, and my hood won't stay open so they have to replace my hood shocks too.
If my car was fixed and stopped having issues, I would be much more inclined to keep it. Like I said, I still like it, but it just sucks constantly going to the dealer.

Also, I drove Passat with 1.8T like 8 years ago, pretty much same engine and didn't save much on gas as well.

It is way too slow, maybe good engine for Golf but not for big car as A5. Actually Smart made by Mercedes Benz, it is very luxury brand as i know Get it and save on gas!!!

And the old 1.8T and the new 2.0T have nothing in common except they are both 4 cylinders.

It is same engine, VW sticking any car they can. Since Audi and VW are same company now that engine with slight bigger L are in Audi. It is good engine, but not for large car. S5 is another story, that what I would buy

My wife has an A4 vert with 2.0T and there is no way you can compare the G motor to the 2.0T. No way. When I get on the highway I have to push the pedal thru the floor and it still isn't quick enough.
The G make waaaaay more power than her Audi. When I took my 13 yo son for the first ride in the G even he was impressed, "this car is fast like your SRT8".
The ride on the Audi is good and heavy but I think the G is still better, quieter and more refined. Never drove a 5 so I'm not knocking the ride on the 5 but the motor is way to light so such a heavy car IMHO.
Nice ride though, enjoy it safely and in good health.

Beautiful car.... and I just actually ordered the same exact car. My G37 will be gone in a couple of months.
Don't listen to the haters. They obviously don't know much about your Audi. To compare the 1.8 to the 2.0 isn't even a comparison. In fact, you can't even compare the older 2.0 to the B8 2.0 that you have in your A5.
Fact of the matter is the A5 isn't as quick as the G37. There's no denying that fact. But what people don't realize is that the little 2.0 turbo motor in the Audi makes more torque in the lower rev range than the G37. This makes driving the car fantastic. It feels powerful at any RPM in any gear and gives the driver a nice kick in the back that you have to be at much higher RPMs to feel in the G37. So if I'm all-out drag racing, I'd choose the G37, but when I'm not drag racing, the A5 has more effortless acceleration.
Of course there is more than power and acceleration to every car (unless you're just a boy racer, but then you'd still lose out to plenty of cars on the road).
Definitely a nice upgrade from your G. Good luck with it.
