You won't like me when I'm angry.

Wait, I never got angry.

Ok, despite the fact that OP was talking trash which is just unnecessary, but does anyone think he has a point without being biased? I can agree with him on his saying about changing your engine oil after the first 100 miles. but can anyone actually justified this new theory of breaking in the engine? This is for sure the first time i have ever heard of this, and so far all of the cars in my family have gone threw babying break-ins. Non of them ever had an issue due to a engine failure, but then again we haven't really kept a brand new car for more then 10 years or did over 100k miles on it.

As for engine oils, i think i will go with motul for my next oil change

Yes, OP is more right than he's given credit for here. If you want the rings to sit properly you have to rev that engine. This is not something new, this is common knowledge to people that understand engines. also he's correct about changing the oil since there's a lot of wear that happens during the first 100 miles. In fact most engines are still breaking in until well past 10k miles.

I said this on another thread, just buy the car and enjoy it from day one. Your engine will be fine, if you throw a rod during the first 50 miles, it's because you have a defective engine, not because of break-in procedures, and it should be honored under warranty.
