+1, just check how amny issues Nissan have in G. Read about water leaks they can't fix for 10 years already on G coupe as well as on Z.

I've seen plenty of rain, even some snow. No leaks yet. Besides, that's not what I'd call reliability. Reliability has to do with issues that leave me unable to drive to work. Faulty fuel pump, for example.

I'm sure glad you've never heard my wife say the G looks better than the BMW. I wasn't even aware you knew her.

You've never heard any negative image issues related to the BMW? You must live in Bavaria.

The BMW may be better in many respects, but in some, it isn't. And you name a pretty big one. $$$.

Much better now

I picked up my 2011 white G 6mt coupe last Saturday and had mixed feelings. I found out why because of this site. The wheels were killing me. Well, I went to the dealer yesterday and they were able swap out the new sport wheels for the old ones and also added the rear deck spoiler and midnight black grille. I am now in love. And to those who hate the front, I have no idea why because it is a HUGE improvement. The wheels were the problem. Now the car is Redic!

I'm lost, did you not know you had 19inch wheels? with summer tires? Why did you buy G37S why not just the G37?

Just so you know the 2011 sport wheels are like almost $900 each it's like $6800 for wheels and tires. I hope they give you some of your money back.

Yes you're lost. He swapped the hideous '11 sport wheels for the better-looking 08-'10 sport wheels, which are also 19's with summer tires.

I absolutely LOVE my 2011 XS Coupe!
The nav and tech system is incredible, the interior is beautiful and it drives, well, it puts a big smile on my face!

I'm always careful in how I get into and out of my car. The leather on my 2007 G35 Coupe was worn, over the course of 4 years of ownership, but not terribly. I conditioned it regularly and didn't mash on the bolsters when I got into the car. I'm treating the new ride the same. The my service contact at my dealership is really outstanding. He was prepared to fight for me for replacement seats on my 07 because the leather was worn, and that was after 4 years!

While I do miss my 2007 G35 Coupe, I am extremely glad I went with a new model, especially with the new interior on the 2011. Love the front end and the new wheels too!
I know many of you hate the new wheels, but anyone I've shown my new ride to has immediately commented on how much they like them.

To address the break in period, I have almost 2,000 miles on my G 37. Was a little wimpy with it for the first 500 or so miles, then opened it up. Several runs up the rev counter to 5k or better. The car runs like a clock. Love it. I do wish it had more tourque, without a doubt, I think that Infiniti should put more research (resources) into bumping the tourque to 300 or better.

OP, I enjoyed your first-impression comments. It reads like something I would write.

After buying a Maxima 6MT brand new 9 years ago, and researching/test-driving lots of cars over the last two, I've selected the G37S 6MT Coupe as my next ride, starting summer of 2012. In the meantime, I'll just lurk around myG37.com for the next year or so.

If this place is anything like Maxima.Org, I'll be liking it.
