Hey Bettyyyyy as long as im the ONLY one in the U.S. with a Zele kit, AIT will get no where near it.. trust me they've asked........ their is another member with one on the way, and he feels the same way as me. Sorry but it's highly unlikely because along with me the owner of the other kit doesn't believe in spending close to 4 grand of hard earned monies, and waiting almost 3 months for something exclusive, made to order just to let it get knocked off, butchered quality/fitment and mass produced so people can buy it for $400, so AIT's S.O.L. for that

And fiberglass can be filled, I've scrapped my bumper and get it filled like once a year and it looks perfect after. Poly can not, that's why I got rid of my J.P. lip once it's scraped it doesn't look so great and can't really be repaired.

Oh I know. The internet sometimes doesn't show how tongue in cheek a comment is intended to be. Kudos to you brother! I wish others had your integrity. You are my hero for telling AIT to go EFF themselves. I'm actually donating experience points to you. True story.

^ thanks man, I can't wait to see your kit. I'm in no way bragging or telling members who "choose" to spend less theres anything wrong with their decision, they should just buy something else because the AIT is trash... yes it kinda/sorta looks like a T.S. kit, but theres so many flaws when you can just go with Auto X or J.P. USA, or even Stillen or other options I may not know of probably fit better than AIT products.

ROFL! And some points to you and your POS AIT body kit for that awesome one liner, whether you want them or not.

See I have a sense of humor.

What? So poly is better or fiberglass is better for the body kit. A lot of people told me to get poly lip and stay away from fiberglass because its easy to crack and stuff.

So should I look for fiberglass lip instead because it's easy to fix later?

Thanks

Lol I don't have a single AIT piece on my car, sorry to disappoint. The poly TS lip I have molded is one of the 180Customs lips they made

Personally I think poly is WAAAAAY better, after having both fiberglass and poly. But thats just my opinion and I'm sure others will disagree

It's true there are too many TS and AIT body kit style out there. It was the best looking one out there until Zele came out. Sorry to get off topic. I have been trying to get APR to do a wide body for our G37 and no luck. I like the APR wide body for the G35. J R wide body by Cusco is too aggressive and their was another white G37 wide boy in Sema I think this year that look was awful.

u guys are not even helping the OP.. beating a dead horse over authentic vs replica..

anyway to answer ur qns, try REMOVING ur bumper and then fit the lip onto the oem bumper.. cuz when it's off the car, u can flex the oem bumper and the lip will fit onto the bumper easily/perfectly. that was how we did it when we installed our AIT lip. hope that helps

"Better" is a matter of personal opinion and people will weigh in on both sides of that argument. Fiberglass will crack more easily than poly (yes poly can crack) but it's much easier to fix it to look perfect. Poly is more resistant to impact but is heavy and can't be repaired as easily when it does get damaged. Fiberglass only cracks easy if you are running it into stuff.

I used to have the AIT TS front lip, then I traded my bumper + lip with JQueen who had the OEM bumper with the poly TS lip molded on, which is what I'm currently running

Yeah exactly, poly is stronger but harder to fix if it can be fixed at all. FG is more fragile and easier to fix to perfection. You have to be more careful driving, and those parking lot cub things are killers.

Well it really depends on you, their are great quality and poor quality of both. Their are pros and cons. Fiberglass is lighter, that's why the higher end tuners use it because their focus is building parts for race cars. Poly is heavier/stronger but harder to fix, but once you scrape poly it looks bad. FG can easily be replaced. It just depends how long you want to keep the part and your driving patterns. You have to be much more careful driving/parking with a FG front vs Poly, FG chips easier with rock chips when compared to poly just so you know. I installed a custom clear bra on my Zele front to prevent this.

Yeah.. those go for people with S.

not me.. who got the regular G. (Don't ask why. lol)
I've looked around and only to realize that there's only AIT that makes full bumper for my non-S.

Oh well, I did get the bumper already but only going to start working on it later on this week. Advantage for me is that, I work at a body shop. Hope it goes well for me.
