their are other alternatives, JP USA, Auto X, heck even Stillen.. yes 1 member here claims his kit has no problem but their are posts all day speaking of AIT's horrible quality. I'm in no way speaking on anyones finiancial position, but why not just buy something else instead of wasting monies on junk?

I finally got around to having the ship paint and install my TS aero parts. The guy said he has never had any aftermarket parts fit so perfectly. He didn't have to do anything at all to it for it to fit perfectly into place. Didn't even require any double sided tape. The only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect about the fitment was on the sides of the rear bumper where there is a small gap. They all fit his way. Haven't figured out what (if anything) to do about it.
OP, have your shop do what they can to make it fit. That's all they can do is to work with it the best they can. Taking off the bumper will likely help a lot. But I'm not sure if that will make the bumper itself fit more poorly when you put it back on.

+1, or buy something else, AIT failed on their attempt to clone, they couldn't even get the mold right that's why nothing fits.

Detailing it this week for a show this weekend. Tons of photos next week.
I have yet to see an AIT around here personally on a G37. But just the other day I realized that since I've got mine on, there are at least 5 authentic Top Secret G37s here in Houston. I saw 3 of them in the same day last week.

So just by looking at painted fiberglass/poly/whatever you can tell the difference? I sincerely doubt it. Obv they are made of different materials but I have a hard time believing the average driver can tell the difference just from looking

not sure about this paticular bumper, but i've noticed a lot of differences in knock-offs in the past, although this was molded from an authentic kit from what i've heard, so not saying this is the case.

Knockoffs seldom have as smooth and flawless a surface finish as authentic parts. Then there's the less than perfect fitment that every single person except highspeed has experienced. Maybe he just got a one off factory freak made from a better mold than everyone else's? Even when painted and mounted if you really look you can see that. I have team mates with knockoff parts and I see it on their cars all the time. They can certainly tell you there's a difference. Most people who have seen both a top quality authentic part and it's inferior quality counterpart side by side can attest to that. Some won't notice it. Or would rather not admit it.
And poly and FRP don't look the same to me if I actually look at it. From a passing glance or a photo I might not notice. But looking at it closely I can certainly see the difference as I think many can. Undoubtedly by simply touching the parts you can tell which it is because they feel different. There's always the argument that poly is more durable and forgiving of scrapes and bumps which is certainly true. But I wonder why if it's a better material (and cheaper to produce for sure) most high end authentic aero parts aren't poly?
The knockoff vs authentic argument issue will always be debated for as long as companies can just steal designs and produce more cheaply made replicas that they can sell to a hungry modding public for a cheaper price. In a perfect world every manufacturer would develop original designs and use high quality production that has great style and fitment like it should be. Instead of 2 of 3 great companies designing their own kit, and then 5 of 6 other companies making copies of each one. But as long as there are flea markets selling knockoff Dooney or Coach purses and counterfeit electronics, there will be a market to exploit for knockoff automotive aero parts. Incidentally, I can't afford Top Secret aero parts either, I happened to get lucky and buy authentic used for a good price. But I wouldn't have ever bought a knockoff of them just because I could save a bunch of money. To me it's no different than buying a set of wheels from a guy for a cheap price that you know for a fact are stolen form someone else. Somebody had to get screwed for me to save a buck.
Now will somebody get to work stealing the Zele kit design, I really like it. AIT, are you listening?

People who's willing to wait and have money should get the authentic TS. People with no patient and little money should get the AIT. Soon or later your bumper going to get scratch or damage by your driving or someone else fault. You can try to use a heat gun to stretch it. The best is to find a good body shop that can work on anything and real good with fiberglass. Lucky I got a good body shop that sponsor me and can do anything you want. Pics in my profile speak for itself. Good Luck
