its all about money.
the job belongs to police officers. but police officers are tied up with real crimes that involve bodily injuries, etc.
but what the insurance agencies do have is ebay dwellers.
they sit around for $10/hour-$12/hour and scan ebay listings & even purchase certain items as apart of internal investigations. they are more
concentrating on vehicle owners reporting stolen/missing items and then re-selling the items, online themselves.

neeto; maybe because you've never spent time working patrol, or cases...
but stolen rims are on the bottom of the list. every employee in any field must prioritize his job.
RIMS... are not as important. its just a fact of life.
let not be immature, or bash a whole career field.

I don't even think they were Sport wheels. He said 18's I thought.
Edit: Sorry you're right. They're the sedan sport wheels.

im sorry to say, but detectives are often to busy to handle investigations that insurance companies will rectify anyway.
its a sad reality, but it if it was their car- they magically would find the time, but that's life: UNFAIR.
Stricken, you say to take the case to a detective that won't ever look into it? Well that's some great advice! And I bet when you were taking the wheel locks off your friends car you were making a bit of a racket. Any kind of intervention is a must. If a thief tries to steal wheels in a residential area, he or she is less likely to go for the decent wheels with wheel locks. Maybe if they were Asanti or Forgiato.

im telling him to take the law, in print; to a detective. sometimes workers need a little inspiration and reminder of what his/her job is.
and im not telling him to NOT INSTALL wheel locks. im telling him to just not rely on them. ebay sells universal keys, that will not make any noise while using. im the first to always say, any measure of protection is better then nothing.
if you want your rims to stay put- then park the vehicle in a well lit location, install shock sensors on the car, and speak to a police captain or sergeant requesting a bigger police presence in the area at night, for the wheel theft. be a little bit more vigilant. speak to neighbors, and let them know what happened. if you see suspicious activity, call it in for an officer to drive by, etc. all of that should help. but then again, you can go to the mall, and come out to your car and find your wheels gone. its just the risk we take.
