It's hard to tell someone what a horrible financial decision is when you have no idea what financial state they are in.
Not everyone keeps there car for 10-15 years, and keeping a car that long incurrs many downsides.
Lets say you both went into the dealership on the same day, he leased the car that you purchased. In the next 10 years he will have to renew his lease 3 times, if he comes into basically the same lease, he will be paying a total of around 50 grand and he will be able to drive 3 brand new cars. Most importantly, not have to worry about any maintanence because it will all be under warranty. He will also recieve free oil changes for the first year or two on each lease depending on the deal, and he will also recieve free keys for each life of each lease.
On the other hand you will pay around 45k, and be driving the same exact car for 10 years. And have to worry about anything that breaks on the car after your warranty runs out. Which in 10 years can and will most likely be thousands of dollars in extra maintenance.
Just something to think about....

Also, I live in the U.S. so the G37 is not over priced like other countries.
I payed roughly 36k for 6mt fully loaded, not 45k.
You do make some valid points, but who says the G37 is gonna need extensive repairs anyway?

Agree with you 1000% I never keep a car for more than 2-2 1/2 years. Putting $$$ on a finacne the driving off the lot then in 2 years looking at something eles is a GREAT wasy to be under every car you own..I was burried 10k 3 years ago had two leases and now nothing.

You forgot to mention at the end of the ten years the vehicle can be sold. I'm guessing at least for 10 G's, under normal wear and tear of course.

And he got the car where he lives, so thats the price, lease or purchase.
and yea hopefully over 10 years our luxury cars dont have that many problems, but people are already complaining on the forum, of bubbled seats and winshields popping within 3 months of purchase, so who knows.
(as a guy who works in the finance world i know that leasing is technichally considered as the worst financial decision you can make. BUT there are many upsides, And i cant say enough about having a warranty for the full 10 years. That alone would cost thousands upon thousands to purchase.
But to each his own. If your car runs great for 10 years, you definentally save money buying.
