Actively looking for a 08 g37 found one but have a issued with it...

So i was looking at a 08 blue slate g37s 1 owner 41k 6spd navi backup cam, loaded , dealers asking 23900.

Car is pretty clean, maybe a 4-5 scratches on the car bigger than 1/4 inch, no prior accidents, 2 front rims have very minor curb rash, 2 rear are perfect, all tire threads match, its a used car so of course i expect some imperfections like that so im not bothered.

Interior also everything is clean, carpet, rear seats, pass seat, center console, all words are visible on all the buttons etc.
The following things do bother me though:
1) steering wheel, around where the volume controls are there are alot of scratches or wear cant tell, i guess the previous owner either had a crazy ex gf or he just toggled his volume alot both sides, does not affect the controls whatsoever but aesthetic wise its an eyesore to myself, would i be able to replace the the area around the bottons on the steering wheel itself or possibly repaint it like a diy job?
2) on the passenger side, the polished aluminum strip on top of the glove compartment has a deep scratch(looks like black line) about 1 -11/2 inch long , is there anyway this can be repaired or replaced?
3) on the driver side door , the polished aluminum handle or grip, has EXCESSIVE deep scratches, again almost as if this dudes crazy ex gf took a key and just went crazy, is there anyway this can be repaired and/or replaced ?

besides those three things the interior is clean and im in love with the car. I didnt submit an offer today but im thinking of offering about 20k, and probably end up purchasing the car somewhere around 21500-22k after negotiating back and forth with the dealer.
But yeah, if you guys have any experience or can offer some type of feedback to these issues it will be greatly appreciated. I will probably go to the dealer tomorrow offer up start negotiations and take pics of all these things but in case we agree on a price and i bring this bad boy home tomorrow someone shed some light on how i can remedy these issues. Thanks alot in advance!!!

1,2,3 can all be replaced. 2 and 3 can be replaced rather cheaply. You can even negotiate with the dealer and ask them to replace it.

^ Modme is right. They are minor and fixable. You can even put in Carbon fiber if you want to go aftermarket and it will look sick. If the car is fully loaded like you said it is and the dealer is asking 23k it's a good deal. You should go for it. Make sure you check out the car thoroughly and pull the service history and carfax. Is it the infiniti dealer that you are getting the car from?

All the issues you mentioned with the exception of the scratch on the strip above the glove box are common to 08's and not the result of neglect or a crazy GF. It is very cheap and easy to replace the door handles. Riverside Infiniti sells replacement door handles.

There used to be someone here that fabricated steering wheel inserts but I believe he no longer is doing this. You might be able to negotiate with the dealer to replace that if it is an Infiniti dealer. I have heard of people actually getting this replaced under warranty.

Thats a steal bud....scoop it up while you can!

Negotiate fixing the steering wheel buttons...you'll end up getting a whole steering wheel not just the cover. (they can goodwill a certain amount when buying the car if you complain about a certain item, i did and got it)

The door grip can be replaced for 35$. Riverside and Bestoff Infinti sell them on ebay.

If you can live with the scratches outside and the 1 above the glove box, Buy it before some1 else does.

The things to look for are major issues, for example: accidents, stolen, flood, lemon, major problems. All that stuff is minor. For that deal take it! 1,2,and 3 can be replaced with no problem.

I had similar problems with #1 and #3 and the local Infiniti dealer replaced those under warranty... That means FREE. That's a pretty good deal if it has a clean car fax. Trade in value is more than that lol.

One of the most important things you need to realize about all G37s is that they are Infinitis, not Infinity.

The 2008's have MANY minor problems. The little noises here and there are things you will notice after a week or two. Look around the TSB in area in this forum and you will hear of others problems.
Infiniti warranties the vehicle, so it does not matter where you buy it from unless of course it's a salvage or the previous owner voided the warranty.
And yes they replaced those parts under warranty. I don't know if they were just taking care of me or what. I just asked the service writer if he would price me on the newer door pulls and on the steering wheel cover. They replace the whole steering wheel and both door pulls under warranty. I am in the middle of trying to get my seat cushion replaced also, but they had to run that one through an approval board.

Never, ever pay the asking price. Prices are always negotiable.

Well I disagree on the MANY problems comment. Some, like all cars but not a capital MANY (IMHO).
