My clutch felt like an on and off switch and there was lag in the accelerator pedal.
I replaced the clutch fluid and and readjusted the accelerator pedal position sensor (the FSM says in bold "do not adjust" lol) and all is much better. nearly honda like

Guys!!! picked up car. All I can say is wow, this new ECM update made the whole car feel different. Going from 1,2,3 is very smooth now and also just going from line in 1, is now very smooth and no more jerk feeling or hitting of walls or a feeling of bumping into thing's. I know guys may think it's all in my head but the whole car drives smoother and throttle lag is pretty much gone. Also down shifting is smooth I was able to go from 5th to 4th at 70mph and no jerk at all.
So if your having 6MT issues get the ECM update.
Thanks

OMG.... thanks for making me laugh today. The very idea that there's even an ECM update for a manual transmission makes me smile. For the engine, yes. For a manual transmission? No. The manual transmission is 100% mechanical and has no computer controls whatsoever. For those who claim the car shifts smoother, I suspect it might have something to do with the rev hang of the engine because it's definitely nothing with the transmission.
