Anyone want a g37forg37s trade?

I bought one a few months ago. Its not that I don't like it or anything. Its that I really wish I got the G37s.

I know this probably isn't the place where I'd find any takers but does anyone in SoCal area want a '08 11k miles sunroof/xm g37 for trade? I'll drive anywhere in SoCal/Phoenix to trade. Cash + car or straight trade for value as dictated by some valuation site. I got it 2 months ago cpo from dealer. Its got the coating warranty and service plan. For the sake of full disclosure: Wife put a ding on the wheel cover a month ago but I went to a good place and got it fixed. They did a good job and this isn't the reason. Just wanted to fully disclose. I can provide pics and receipts etc.

I'd go take it to the dealer but I'd likely lose a lot of money just by doing it. Not to mention all the tax I'd pay just for the privilege.

why don't you just put on the sport front bumper and call it a day...

Unless you got the AT and want a 6MT...if that's the case, GL finding someone to trade. Mostly everyone regrets getting an AT, not the other way around...

Honestly, what you got is perfectly fine. Especially with such low miles and with the extras you got. I got a G37S and I want a regular G37 now with an auto. The grass is always greener.

Ya I want the manual. Actually the tiptronic thing isnt bad at all and going manual when you just wanna relax is pretty nice. Still I'd like the G37s.

Also I got manual so wife could drive it. Ever since she dinged it I've made it totally off limits to her.

-I like the fact that it has 7 gears, so it gets a bit of a better mileage.
-I drive a lot, so the convenience of not having to row my own gears is very intriguing.
-It's a lot smoother.
-The girl can drive it when we go on road trips. It's really annoying to have to drive the whole time, especially if it's a 10+ hour drive.
-I don't race or track my car (got the bike for that), and doing my own shifting has just lost it's appeal to me.

I only had 2 cars (out of 11) that were autos (GLI w/ DSG and an R32 w/ DSG) and I miss the way those transmissions shifted, and honestly, that was the main reason I did not get an auto, because I was so spoiled by the responsiveness of them, that a standard auto transmission just did not compare. I wish I would have driven the auto a bit more now, probably would have gotten one.

If you had the 7 speed I'd strongly consider it :-) Just keep your car man. Like I said, to find one with mileage that low is gonna be hard. Just be happy with it. All cars have their pros and cons, and driving a manual will have it's own set of issues as well. Unless you track your car, I don't think it would be worth switching at this point.

It's gona be a huge hassle man, I've never seen anyone go with a trade your best bet is selling and repurchasing or maybe trading with a used car dealer. IMO just get a
Sport front bumper, bbk, some new springs, and maybe some wheels and there's a sport! I think the gear ratio Is a little different too but not sure .I got a sport a/t and I regret it all the time, the Manuel is more fun and pulls harder.

I don't deeply regret it. I really like the car and am really enjoying it. Tiptronic isn't bad at all and its nice to just flip it into manual at 8am when im driving to work and tired as ****. I'm glad I didn't get the BMWs I was looking at too. the 328 wouldnt have been nice enough and the 335 woulda been a waste of $. I also like how its nice but doesnt scream out like the bmws would have.

I'm not gonna take the $ hit and sell. W/o the tiptronic maybe I would. Just hoping some one wanted an auto for whatever reason and wanted to do an even money Xfer.

Your not missing much with manual. I just want manual cause it makes me seem cool while driving, but its a hassle most of the time. I used to drive a manual and its fun but gets boring after awhile I'm not really sure why most people regret auto to be honest.

I've got the 7a/t sport convertible. the only issue with the auto is it will drop into 5th and 6th gear at low speeds (30-40 mph) and can lug the engine, and that can get annoying. I drove both cars 6m/t and 7a/t and would not have the manual for a daily driver, too much trouble. If I want a manual i just shift to DS and use the shifter or paddles. People choose cars for personal reasons, it baffles me why folks think think one transmission is better than another just because they prefer what they have. If I bought a coupe and I was using it as a weekend car and I took it to the track I might have bought the 6 m/t. Then again I doubt any weekend warriors can match the shift speed and downshift throttle blips the auto has, so quickest time around the track would probably be in the auto, at least for me.

Let me get this right, your looking to upgrade and want to do an even Xfer. What does your model have? If you were to sell you would take a hit, If you were to trade in you would take a hit, I doubt anyone would consider an even exchange. GL!!!

The only autos you've ever had were DSGs? Oh boy... You're in for a rude awakening with the G37 auto. The DSGs are the best auto trannies you can get, the 7A is not even close to being that awesome. Don't expect the 7A to behave the same way as the DSG in manual mode. The lag in the 7A will drive you crazy
