That little statement I made "with the exception of the wheels" means that everything EXCEPT the wheels is right out of production. Let me know if it's still confusing

Yea I found this G nice but there are some much hotter G's on this forum that need to be featured rather than that...

Aftermarket wheels on our cars are over-rated anyways

I've seen your car. It looks sharp. I'm not saying it doesn't. I didn't even say the G posted in this thread looks bad. On the contrary, I think it looks pretty good. The point being discussed was that this particular car does not necessarily deserve the title of "G37 Like No Other," as the only modifications are that it is lowered on knock-off wheels.

To each his own... It's not a secret that they are a replica wheel. That's all I was saying. They even try to imitate the stamping of the authentic wheels. It is a design taken right from Rays and Volk based on the overwhelming success of that wheel over the years. Volk made the TE37 a timeless mainstay in the industry. I have little respect for companies who steal designs from the true innovators of the aftermarket world. Of course, that is my opinion and there are many people who will argue with me - there are numerous threads on here illustrating that.

That aside, there are a lot of people/members on this forum who put parts on their cars that are, arguably, worse quality than stock parts. I am in no position to judge those people. People are free to spend their money however they want...

My opinion... It's a $40,000+ car, not a late 90's Honda Civic. (I am in no way comparing the car in this thread to a Honda Civic. I am emphasizing my ideal that the modifications to the car should, at the very least, be in proportionate range to the quality/cost of the car itself, if not far surpass those standards. Afterall, we modify to improve, right? Whether it be a popular modification or not, nobody changes their car for the worse. When I alter something on MY car, I am doing it because I feel it makes the car better. Rational motive/justification for my actions, no?)

I can't tell people how to modify their cars and I wouldn't try to. I modify my car the way I want and they should do the same. As I have stressed more than once, I enjoy the diversity in 'modding' tastes. That doesn't mean I am not entitled to an opinion, however foolish or ridiculous you may think it is. I don't feel bad saying that a G with a real Top Secret body kit and the authentic Volk wheels would garner my respect far sooner than the G with the knock-off parts. I don't think I should have to...

Afterall, without those true innovators and pioneers of the industry, where would Varstolen and AIT be?

Gotcha. I must agree that it doesn't deserve the title "G like no other".
