what's with my AC unit?
ive searched the threads and came out with nothing...
its been really cold lately and i noticed that the leftmost vent next to the steering wheel is consistently on. it's like blowing warm air but at a very weak/slow rate even when everything is OFF. i jjust wanted to know if this was liek an ambient temperature kinda thing or do i just have a retarded unit.
i have yet to feel the opposite (AC on when its really hot outside) because it hasnt really been that hot.

The A/C is not needed to heat the car, thats why the owner manual states to turn a/c off(pushing A/C button)when heating the car. It probably blows warm air because you have the temperature set to a temperature higher than the outside temp. My car does the same thing, so when I want the heat to stop completely, i turn the climate control system back on, adjust it to the coldest temp, then turn it off. All hot air stops blowing through the vents. Try it and see if it works for you.

If you have 'fresh air' selected air will still come in the car and it gets heated by the engine, that's what you're feeling. Press the 'recirculate' button and it stops all air from coming in.
