Nismo 370z or IPL G coupe

What you guys think? Which would you choose?

I have been thinking about switchin to a Z. I don't like the body shape but when you get some parts on them they look really nice actually. I don't think I am getting fond of my cars badonkadonk as much as I am a *** person, I just feel its to much ***.

Plus a small gain over the IPL G. Plus I don't want to spend much, but want to buy some power. Check'd subie's but they aren't stacking up. Don't want a supercar cause I already have one mortgage eating at me. So, maybe its Z time.

50gs for an IPL or 40gs for nismo..........hmmmm i would go for the nismo! the nismo is faster and has everything that the IPL has. the only thing is the badge. your paying for an extra hundered lbs on the IPL too. if you want classy i would go for the IPL. if you want speed and more sportier id go with the nismo. once again this is arguable but its in two differant classes. if you want to fix up the car your gonna have better luck on the nismo. good luck with your decision.

i would go for the 370z since this is one of ur choice, i assume u don't need the back seats, so why not? it's faster and sportier and a lot more aftermarket support also.

besides, if i were u i wouldn't go for the IPL, just the g37s. still cant justify paying the premium for a slight improvement over the regular G.

think about also if you ever need service, the Nissans don't get loaner cars, you get an extra year on the warranty for Infiniti (48mo/60k) vs Nissan (36mo/48k)

Nismo 370z hands down... IPL G isn't all that, price is unjustified!

I say Nismo also if you don't need the backseat. I was looking at and and almost bought a loaded new sport 370Z instead of my G but in the end with my kids I knew I would never get to drive it. I Love the G and am not sorry based on my current situation but I would also love to have the Z.

If you are stuck on the IPL make sure you get the 6MT. The IPL should not have been made with a 7AT, imo.

I would go with the IPL too unless you like shaking up your vital organs and going deaf. Do you have any need for a back seat? Cause you ain't gonna get one with the Z. May not be important to you though. Put a 1000 watt stereo in the Z and you won't be bothered by all the racket you get when you're driving. The IPL is a very classy ride, and obviously the Z is sportier. So it's a question as to what you want from your ride. Two different looks and styles.

Hey guys nice responses!

I just wanted to make a thread to see what everyone thought. I love the styling of the G over the Z of course, and when I look at the G, its really not that big. But I would love some more speed, and the Nismo 370z is also a head turner. The IPL G doesn't really intrigue me as much (seen one on dealer lot but haven't test drove it yet). I will probably test drive both soon and see what the deal is. I still can't decide between 6mt or Auto. But I think i'll end up getting a manual. Been driving automatics, and in the competition car industry they don't hold up as a better reseller.

Anyways, lets see some more posts on why you would choose the Z over the IPL

The nismo doesn't even have the 7in screen like the lower models do for radio/climate ctrl. It does have really nice seats though, so there's trade-offs for both in several forms. The interior of the G(back seat too) is better than the 370z, but the performance of the 370z is better than the G. You'll just have to decide what you really want the car for. A nice (luxury) ride or performance machine?

Its essentially the same car from the drivers perspective, sure there is an extra 30HP.. but all that is negligible.. most often my need for speed gets satisfied well before I'm even starting to push her... and when you put her through some turns going fast enough she wall make you hold your breath...

I test drove both when i was looking around. My criteria was it had to be a civilized, luxury yet able to rip through any douche bag in a 335. What really sold me was the back seat, since thats where my gym bag usually goes.

All that being said, I still love the Z... the form resonates a look of a Porsche, and its just an all around performance car. one of my friends is currently making the same choice as you and I'm pushing him hard towards the 370Z..

Don't worry, whatever choice you make you are choosing from some of the best sports cars made.

Drive them both and see what you like and dislike about each of them. If you plan on modifying the 370Z, I would suggest the Touring model as opposed to the Nismo.
