Nismo 370z or IPL G coupe

I've already looked through the porsches, and yes I love porsches, ferrari's, few lambos, db9's, etc. All I want from porsche would be a 911 turbo. To afford a Cayman S on my current salary I would be going back 2 years. I could go new if I stayed in the Infiniti family. I like Nissan and I love that I am driving a Skyline, but rockin' the Mt. Fuji. So if you think about it, I got really good hp for 25k and a newer car. Ya Cayman is 25k but to be honest if I pulled up in it at work I would be shunned very badly. I do not want this at all.
If I'm buying a 100k car it wouldn't be a porsche, nor would it be 100k. I won't pay more then 50k for anything. Not when I can get 500hp for 35000 from a Vette, probably less then that out of a used 08' Z06. A ZR1 would be nice if I were to buy a 100k car.

If you have the money get the IPL. Its pretty much a fully loaded nismo. Dont listen to other people who says the performance gain isnt worth the money. Theyre just jealous because the IPL is better than a regular G. For instance asking the same question at the370.com would generate the same dislike for the nismo because Its better than a regular 370z. Just my personal thought. Then sit back and watch how many people get offended and start posting track and quarter mile time, yada yada yada "for the money you could modify this and that to be better than this or that", but in the end you get the satisfaction of knowing you have an authentic IPL

Well, I drove the IPL over the weekend. Nice car and it has everything I like. My fear is driveways, Northeast winters, and speed bumps. Guess I'll have to move to a warmer climate...Seriously, who said the IPL has a back seat? That is a lugauge compartment with seats.

Sorry dude, an 08 Z06 will run you into mid 40s or higher. You can get used 06 Z06 that were used as Bondurant track vehicles for 35k.

Cayman S will run you mid to high 30s, not 25k. A base Cayman you can probably get for 30 or so. And who cares what people at work think of your car?

Just to follow up on your answers, Yahoo Autos had Used Caymen S 05-06 at 25-28k, and if you knew a lot about vette's you would know Vette Hound has 08' Z06's at 35k, 06' z06's are 24-28k now. Of course these are private owners, and some are out of warranty, etc.
Not to a be ****, but I shop around a lot more then the average person. Owning a business you have to. I've also been into vette's for a VERY long time, and it is my dream car. The Track times on a vette are way better then some 100k cars, and the money vs. HP, you get the best bang for your buck. I have always been a vette kinda guy.

And I've been on Vettehound, and that place is not a good indicator of what used Z06s are going for. Go to cars.com, or autotrader.com, put in your zip, and search for the said cars. That is what the market is for them right now. They have an 08 Z06 on Vettehound listed for $16,500. Give me a break. Like I said, you are not getting an 08 Z06 for less than 35k.
Because even with a supercharger, you still won't run low 11s in the 1/4 mile, have a 200mph top speed, be able to pull over 1.0g, and brake from 60 to 0 in under 100 feet.

I love how the Nismo comes with Factory Forged Wheels 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 245/285 , drop with spacers and done. I hate all other Zs they look horrible to me withought the Nismo Kit. I would consider A G37S 6mt over IPL because I know for sure I would add my own suspension and wheel and tire package and a different exhaust . As for the Nismo I think it's Worth tge price tag, I even read on tge 370z.com members found nismos around 35k new ! Thats a steal....

Wanted the Z, but needed the back seat so bought the g37 coupe. The way I explain what is to non-car people is "remember back when there was a Z and a Z 2+2? Well this is the Z 2+2." I LOVE it and will only consider another G coupe or a Z to replace it. Won't have kids at home in 2 years when I plan on getting another car, so the Z comes back into play. However, I have gotten so used to the loaner and excellent customer service (Gunn in San Antonio,) that I'm not sure I will be happy with Nissan.

Tough decisions, both are amazing in their own Way. I've seen many of both and couldn't even make up my mind. A dropped Nismo 370z is ha Ds down gorgeous as is, I wouldn't even change the wheels I would leave as is drop w 255/305s and spacers and done, IPL I would drop for sure and change out the exhaust wheels and suspenion so a G37S 6MT is a better buy. I really dislike the non Nismo Zs they don't do anything for me, but the nismo grabs everyones attention on the road and feels awesome driving around. The styling is sexy and sharp looking .

I REALLY wanted a 370Z with Sport,Touring and Nav...not a lot to choose from in SoCal right now.
But after getting in the G again, I could not give up all the goodies. Nav is must, telescoping wheel is must, sunroof is must. The Z felt larger in the front seats - and I dig the knee rest, and storage in the hatch.
Infiniti residual is way higher, plus you get all the Infiniti perks, and 2 extra seats. Ish.
I still love the Z, tho...
