Nismo 370z or IPL G coupe
#16
If this is your daily driver, I would choose a G37s manual. You might compromise a little on performance but you'll appreciate all the amenities. I don't think you'll miss the difference, unless of course you plan to use all the performance potential of the Nismo on a routine basis (which you can't on public roads). IPL is just not worth the money.

If the IPL isn't worth the money, neither is the NISMO. Buy what you want, but if it were my, I'd buy a G37S 6MT.
I did, and I looked at the NISMO Z as well. It's too raw of a car for me. The G is a much better dual role GT/Sports car than the Z. You can get your speed fix and still take the wife out in the G37. The Z, not so much IMHO.

a used Cayman S can easily be had for the ridiculous amount the Nismo 370Z or IPL G37 is asking for. You may not have back seats on the Cayman S, but you'll never wipe the smile off your face.

Actually thread has never been made on these 2 cars, I searched first.
I love how everyone is driving a G and is saying I should get a Z Hahahah!
You guys kill me. I think I'll move into a newer sport model G.
The Z isn't that much appealing on trips.

to add to that you now have to pay ridicules maintenance fees on a used vehicle that's not under warranty anymore... sounds like a bad idea from the get go...

Cayman may be a good vehicle no doubt, but in no way a purist's machine.. and you will be reminded that at every stop light whenever anything else out of the Porsche line up pulls up.

How does the fact that Porsche makes SUVs and 4 door GT cars make the Cayman any less of a purist's driving machine? Have you ever driven one? I'm gonna guess not. It's worlds difference between a 370z and a G37. And maintenance is not that bad on it. You change the oil every 12k miles at a tune of $100 bucks a pop if you do it yourself. (takes 9 quarts of M1 specific oil).
Cayman S do not suffer the RMS issues as the 996 or 997s did. They age very well. the maintinence is actually decent (especially when you find agood porsche indy shop, just ask around 6speedonline). And not a purist machine?? I guess not...compared to maybe an ariel atom or an F1 car...LOL. 6 speed tranny, mid engine, 2 seats...i mean you'll have to go exige or over for a more of a 'purist' experience. 'Reminded at every stop light'...who is this guy? Vin Diesel?

IPL is not really as expensive as it may seem, some have gone over it alerady but bascially you can count it as a fully loaded g with a aero kit, red stitched seats and other knick knacks plus a little premium for it being an IPL.
