Can't find Coupe MT, get Sedan MT instead?

Im looking to get a used g37 (O9/10) In about 4-5 months. I've been looking at sites, carmax, yahoo, ect... Are g37s coupes hard to come by if not ordered new, seems that way? Dealers don't even seem to have them!! The MT is what's important to me, never had a MT and I pretty sure I want the g37 to be my first.

Is there any significant difference between the two (coupe/sedan)? or should I just grab the first one I can find regardless of body type because their isn't a difference?

Thanks!!!

If you're under 25, just wait for the coupe. The coupe is sportier, it feels a little more unique, and it has bigger wheels. (I'm just assuming you're thinking the S model.)

That said, I just got rid of my coupe and got a sedan.

This thread made me laugh a little. To be honest with you OP the decision is all on you. Its your money, and your car. If you want something bad enough you can wait for it. Im sure your dealer can find you the exact car you want and have it shipped to them. A buddy of mine found his car at a auction, it was a charcol silver, 6MT with all the updrages and got it for a great price. He waited over 6 months to find that car! So take your time and know what you want before you just decide to dive into this and hate your decision in the long run. Wish you the best of luck and keep us updated.

i got 3 or 4 preowned and a handful of new 6mt coupes in inventory -- i think you need to search closer

if you want the faster car, go sedan 6mt, vs coupe 6mt

^^^^Faster car...LOL. Comparing speed in a coupe and sedan is like comparing two sedans against each other or comparing two coupes against each other. They're all virtually identical in performance and the driver has MUCH more impact than the number of doors.

That said, I'd tell the OP to hold out for a coupe is he wants the awesome styling of the coupe. Why settle for a sedan? Personally, the styling of the sedan just doesn't do it for me. I like the way the coupe looks with the wider, lower, hunkered down look. But again, that's personal preference. If I wanted a sedan, it would not be a G37, that's for sure.

The first G I bought in 03 was a sedan but from that day on I regretted it and it wasn't long before I traded it for a coupe. (at a nice loss)...

Don't settle! Get what you want! Take a little time and get exactly what you want the first time!

Listen to what people have just posted man, I got 08 coupe with AT because I'm an international student here and I really wanted to have a car since San Diego public transfortation is like S**T. So I was kind of in a hurry, by the time I was searching I couldn't find what I wanted for MT so i just purchased it. now I'm dying to drive MT LOL
I put almost $8,000 for the modd and now I start thinking if it worths.
Just wait for your car! good luck
