^ I was waiting for that one. I've certainly had worse days, ( death in family, etc) I'm just saying that in this community since we all appreciate our cars.

I wonder if you blocked or held up a snow plow and pissed someone off. In the big snow storm in dec a lot streets didn't get plowed because people were driving around and got stuck when they shouldn't have been.
Or some 80 year old guy thought he was helping you out.

Arm flailing tube man
That's what came to mind for me as well. I also got stuck in that snow storm and it took me 7 hours to get home when it normally takes me 45 minutes. It was the craziest commute I've ever seen. There were dozens of cars stuck or abandoned. OP, not to minimize your situation at all, but it might have been a case of someone trying to dig your car out or something? Good luck with the repairs.

My G was vandalized and broken into last September too. I know how it feels man. . . . makes me want to get a black belt in Jiujitsu and kickboxing and kick the crap out of these low life punks.
Still pisses me off when I see the scratches on the inside door panel and washi trim from the window that they broke into.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine. His neighbor decided to be a nice guy and clean off his car after a snow storm and he scratched it up pretty badly. He was using one of those big brooms that you use to sweep the garage floor.

I bet some fool thought he was doing a good deed by shoveling the snow off your car, little did he know....<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

If it is just the isolated spot, it very well could have been someone trying to help dig your car out...
I definitely feel for you but the body shop should make it look good as new... post up some before/after pics once it is fixed so we can see the finished product!

Thinking about it now, I really don't understand. They cleared the left side of the car only. Damage is all over the left side. I guess they realized what they were doing and stopped, or looked in the car and saw it was empty/ nothing to steal.
It was parked at the beginning of a dead end street so the plows did not go past my car, just beside it. The tracks were not close to the car though.
I'll def post before and after pics.
