Triple X, your comments actually made me laugh, fist fight idea is great...at least 10 feet away from the G though please....

I'd like to say it has nothing to do with the car, and just a matter of who you meet, but now that I think about it, nobody has been friendly so far....shiet....

Just for laughs:

1) Lady with same color/make/model, drove by her and smiled/waved. RESULT:Ignored, and an unatural stare forward.
2) Guy with a beautiful black 370Z at the gas station. Not the same, but still. RESULT: Avoided my glances. Maybe he's anti-social, just my hunch when your personal license plate says "Megabyte" on it LOL. Seriously wtf?
3) Drug dealer/juice monkey looking guy. RESULT: Looked at me like he's the only one that has the right to drive a G....haha, whatever.
4) 09-10 white 37s...stared at it for a few seconds then drove away. RESULT: I think the guy smiled, but the stupid thing is I thought nobody was in the car until I drove away....haha

When I had my s2k, everyone waved. Didn't matter if they were 18 or 80, they waved, flashed, honked, whatever. But only about 6000 s2k's were sold per year in the U.S. It's also a VERY niche car and casual drivers don't keep it if they buy it.

The G series however gets everyone from enthusiast to soccer mom. I'm 36, and my MOTHER drives a G35 coupe! This is what you get when you buy a car that tries to appease the masses.

I believe the dealers are required to run a douche check before they can sell the car. It is also in section 9-6 of the owner's manual to change the owner's douche water once every 3750 miles.

It seems like it has all been said, but I would agree that some of this comes down to who the driver is. Again, there are tons of D-Bags, granted. When I drive my car I have to remind myself that I am not "the ****." I just get that much pleasure from driving. I think most are not humble or realistic enough to moderate or resist this feeling.

I have waived before and gotten no response - then I am just infuriated.
I have been waived at and missed it - then I just feel bad cause I know they are infuriated. haha.

Haha I mean 95 out of 100 everyday cars you see on the road no one can really touch you which is definitely nice to know.

Here in Chicago I feel that basically any G coupe or Z will give a nod, wave, or flash their lights if they are even lightly modded. I have even gotten a few Ms that have waved but most seem to pay attention in my experience, and like others have said, all enthusiasts, no matter what they drive will chat it up given the chance... it's really only the ricers here that are the malcontents that feel they have something to prove...

Not too many G37S here though as a rear wheel drive is not that practical in this city. A lot of 35s and Zs though so I am not sure why the trend hasnt continued... I see more 370's the G37S's here.
