Short Shameful Confession

When I get in my coupe and start out on the road, It doesn't feel like a sporty upscale japanese vehicle. The heavy door, and the initially slow 7gear-AT and V6 engine, makes me think I'm driving my grandma's buick, or some other big american car.
--- Edit:

Relax folks, the world's not going to end because the G37 is actually 'smooth' instead of abrupt like the Z. If I wanted to deal with a freak out by the slightest bit of comment that could possibly be considered 'criticism', I'd go talk with my wife instead of posting.

[hate the editor, it eats carrriage returns]

It isn't a wrx that's for sure. But I'll take the comforts over the go-cart at this point. I'll be 36 soon, I'm getting too old to be bouncing around.

Why you posted this idk. But im sorry you feel the way you do. Just sell the car for something you have maybe test driven or know a little more about.

If you want something with power throughout the low RPM range get a 335i. The torque/hp ratio is almost 1:1 at 300/300. With the G I think it's 270-330 approx with the power curve coming from the higher rpms. The 335i has almost 0 turbo lag as well. I felt like it had more power at least in the low rpms.

I think the G is the better overall package tho in price, performance, and aesthetics. You can always get an UpRev tune also if you want more low end power.

Or if you just want a fast Japanese coupe/cabrio drop a few grand and TT a miata or S2k

Heh he, maybe the 'experience bars' should be re-labelled indicate to indicate level of 'xenophobia' instead.

I didn't say I didn't like the car, I said it reminded me of a big american car. Anyone who's gone from the 5gear AT to the 7gear AT says the same thing. It doesn't have that 'OMG immediate power' feel that the older 5gear transmission used to. (until you learn how to handle the new transmission)
