The front shot is better then the profile but just doesn't qualify as an improvement to me. The original design was curvaceous and flowed smoothly. Still a bit too tame for me but at least it wasn't a hybrid. Then they introduced sharp angles which distract and don't seem to belong and then they introduce the vacume attachment here which clearly doesn't even flow with the top bumper... oh snap. We'll beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I guess if there were at least two design engineers and a manager to pass this design there will be a few customers that actually like this as well.
Wheels I wouldn't sweat, easy upgrade and these will make that upgrade even more compelling and rewarding. I do like the black light housing, wish that would have been from the start!

I'm not use to the front yet, so I'm not sold on it.. but the rims look nice, not as nice as the older ones, but nice nevertheless.
PS: Here is the inspiration for the bumper if anyone hasn't put it together:
Its going to be interesting to see where the IPL line takes this look in their future models, specially if they do stick a competitive AMG engine in there to battle the M3...

I like the 08-10 face better.
I like the smoked lamps on the 2011 better than the non-painted 08-10
I like the 08-10 OEM wheels a LOT better
I like the IPL option for 2011.
Either way, you can't go wrong. 2010 or 2011. It's all about preference and price IMO. The difference isn't enough to argue over. You could slap the Aero kit on your 2010 and smoke your headlamps if you really want the 2011 look. Vice versa for 2011 owners if you want the 2010 look.
If I HAD to get the 2011, I would have bought the IPL without question. If it were available last April when I bought my 2010 Sport Coupe, I would have bought it without hesitation.

I'm sorry, I think it looks like a catfish trying suck something into it's mouth. Maybe it looks better in person The wheels just blow As far as I'm concerned, the 08-09 MY is the best to date... But don't be discouraged, any car can be improved dramatically with a drop and the right set of wheels

My biggest issue with the 08-09 is the old aluminum trim and Nav screen resolution. The screen in the 08-09 looks like a video game at 640x480. . The trim is okay, but the 2010 aluminum trim has a much smoother look.
So if anything, out of the 08-10, if price is no object, the 2010 is the one to get IMO. All the kinks were worked out by then.

Welcome aboard, I also got myself a 2011 g7s coupe. I think the pictures dont do the car justice. Its a beautiful car hands down. The front bumper/integrated lower spoiler is beautiful in person. Looks really aggressive in black. I saw more of your pics, and it looks like you got a rear deck spoiler, is that oem? I would like to change the chrome lip for a real spoiler on mine. Definately get the splash guards, they give a lower and aggresive look. Enjoy the ride man, its a great great car
