bad to leave snow on G37?
We got hit with the big snow storm here in NY and my G37 was parked inside the drive way. I won't be using the car for next couple of weeks because I'll be out of town. Should I leave my G37 with all the snow (more than 12") on top of the car until it melts or is it bad for the car and I should clean it before I leave?
Thanks

Snow does melt and packs during the day and re freezes again at night. What part of NY you live? When I was in the army I was stationed in FT Drum and there's some really brutal winters up there. Really easy to find yourself not being able to open your doors! Really instea of wondering if it's okay for the car, just spend the five minutes brushing the snow off.

We got 30" of snow in some parts of NYC here. I dont think it only take 5 minutes.
But neeto is still right about the packing and refreezing. Its gonna warm up to 40s by the weekend so its gonna melt and turn to ice so take the 1-2hrs and clean it off and dig it out so when time comes to use it youre good to go.

Snow itself will do absolutely NO harm what so ever. Its just H2O. I've lived in the midwest all of my life(Wisconsin and MN). The ONLY harm you can possibly do is drive the car in snow with salt and have it sit on the car for long periods of time. Also if there's sand in the snow you want to be careful when wiping it off so you don't scratch the paint.

And yeah, if you got salt on your car, wash that s*** off ASAP!

Brush the snow off, leave the ice on. Don't break the ice off, let it melt off normally. The one mistake I always see is people breaking ice off their paint. It can really screw up your clear coat.
