Yea could be pretty damaging to the paint if you drove with it like that. I know its pretty much anti infiniti code, but could you duct tape it back until you atleast got home. In the reflection i see some other cars in the background, you could ask if anyone saw anybody parked next to you this morning? More than likely this early only a few cars could have come and gone out of your workplace right?

And i can't really see in the pic that well but are those scratches on the top of your mirror?maybe the vehicle that hit you was larger or higher up than yours?maybe a truck or suv...might help narrow it down?Check the parking lot for anyone with black scrapes of paint.

unfortunately in the parking lot, it's only like 6 cars and it's my office lol
it's not scratches on the top part, it's just the salt i guess from driving around...so definitely not scratches. Duct tape...negative. lol gonna go buy some strong glue or whatever just to hold me off until i find one.
Also, i didn't drive around with it, because everyone looks at their side view mirrors, i would have definitely noticed it missing LOL

Definitely a ****ty way to start your Christmas holiday. It's tough to be cheerful when crap like this happens. Especially since no one admits to doing it.
Try the adhesive (2 part epoxy) type. It might be you best temporary fix. Or maybe what Raul uses to seal the headlight assemblies.

It's strange because it would take a very hard hit to break the mirror like that. More than likely they have some damage to their car also. It could also be vandalism, because its easier to break from an up or down motion. It can only be broken from a back to front motion, because it would fold on a front to back. You should find someone with a abnormally high door ding in your lot, and thats most likely your guy.

it's definitely the up and down motion, thats how it was smashed...I bought some electrical tape and super epoxy crap..just for a little bit so i can drive it around and purchase a brand new side view mirror...If anyone knows anyone who's selling one let me know =(
