Ha, we already knew you worked at Hollister based on your thread title.

Perhaps if you tell us what MPGs you are actually getting we could help you.

What were you getting before? What's changed? It's not normal to suddenly get significantly worse mileage under identical conditions. How are you figuring your mileage?

There is a lot of stop and go. I go to school everyday, lifetime fitness, gf's house. Thats about all not much highway driving. And i think it got worse slowly. Like i felt like it was getting worse but i wasnt sure but now i run through $20 of gas in like 1-2 days. Its ridiculous. Thanks for all the help guys btw

Key is how you are determining your gas consumption. Is it via the electronic gauge in the car? Try resetting it and seeing what your current averages are. Is it by miles vs gallons used? Your math could be off.

Either way, this car is a gas hog. I get about 15mpg on average, but I love every second of it.

You mean guys at the mall...... Haha I'm jk, what kinda gas do you use cause the cheap **** will make it worse and take it easy on the gas pedal, I get 19.2 but I'm 70% highway 30% city.

thanks bro!

I think with the stop and go driving you're doing, and I'm sure you punch it from time to time doesn't help with MPG.

Also, when you're tank is empty, fill up, don't just put $5 or $10 here and there.

Not sure what your gas prices are, but $20 with the driving your explaining sounds about right for 1-2 days. I only get about 20mpg's...

Oh well heres the thing. I ususally drive it real smooth. I dont like street racing or any of that but occasionally when no one is on the road i enjoy putting it into sport mode Also i get 5-10 dollars of gas each time im empty.. I usually get premium but i didnt have a job for a while and was getting 89 octane... so i should fill it up all the time and get premium only?

Well hate to break it to you but so far from what you have told us it sounds normal. When I do a lot of city driving in this VERY fun car I also get down into the low teens for MPG's. The G can be very thirsty if you dont watch it but on the highway it's really not bad. Also it sounds like you are budget conscious which is a good thing but don't scimp on the Gasoline and make sure you are using a 91 octane or better, it really makes a difference!

Yes! I tested this on a loaner and it makes a huge difference! I could almost see the needle dropping while I was driving using 89 octane!
The car can run on it but it compensates by using more fuel. Get that cheap stuff out of your tank and fill up with Shell gasoline if you have that in your area! I love that stuff and yes you can notice the difference.
