Welp...time for a new bumper. Suggestions?

Alright...I'm sure most of you already don't do this, but for those that still do, let my experience serve as a lesson: do not text in stop 'n go traffic to pass the time.

(<5mph bump. No one was hurt.)

Lesson learned. Painfully. But these things happen. Moving on...

So needless to say, I need a new front bumper and I figured I'd try to make the best of an otherwise unfortunate situation and see if the shop would order parts of my choosing. I have a 2010...should I [try to] go with:

A) OEM 2010 Bumper (stay true to the original)
2) OEM 2011 Bumper (get some fogs down there)
4) OEM Aero Package Bumper (because aero sounds cool)
E) Aftermarket (suggestions?)

Thanks!

Really depends on your preferences on how you like the looks. Though I wouldn't suggest any full aftermarket bumpers cause most of the times those will require lots of work for 100% fit.

Keep in mind if you get the 2011 Bumper and you happen to want to put a front lip on, the front lip may not fit without modifications because of the foglights. This is regarding the non-sport 2011 bumper. With a sport 2011 bumper, you have a whole new bumper where there are no aftermarket lips out for it yet.

IMO, I think if you plan on putting on any front lips you should go with 2010 OEM bumper. OR if you do really like the aero bumper, you can get it, but ultimately its up to you and whether or not you would want a front lip eventually or not.

Just had to laugh because when I was reading through the new threads, this one was jsut above another that said "Just got rear ended".

Glad you're okay OP. And my vote would be OEM aero...

+1 for not texting and driving had that kind of BOOBOO happen to me twice doing that already... both times in traffic too... once i hit a gas refueling truck and it started leaking gas all over my hood...needless to say by the time i got to a shop the bumper and hood were yellow and painless cause the gas ate through it thanks to the scorching 94 degree heat

That sucks! Texting FTL. Luckily there seems to be plenty of room between the grille and the radiator, so all of the damage to my G looks to be cosmetic. Thank God for accident forgiveness...USAA FTW.

You all know if factory replacement bumpers come pre-painted? I'm actually impressed with their "self-healing" paint (swirls aren't much of a problem) and would like to keep that paint on the bumper if at all possible.

Would the Aero bumper look good on the car without the rest of the Aero package? Has anyone seen that setup before?

Aero is gross.

Either get the 2011 non-s bumper (same as 08-10 S bumper w/ fogs) or just get the reg S bumper and have a lip molded on.

Replacement bumpers do not come painted.
