trade in G37 coupe for IS250?

G37 coupe for a IS250? Yuck! The interior of those IS looks like it was desgined for some old folks that want to drive a semi-sport car. And dont even talk about the engine, so weak. Even if it was the IS350 I'd still would have to think hard about it. Those IS is such girly car. IS-F? I test drove one, nice acceleration but over all, it's heavy, and what's with the torque? I dont feel any, even the beemer 335 feels like it has more torque than the IS-F

well, I test drove the is250 today and was offered $25K for a 10' with 30 some miles on it - still considered new w/ warranty and such. Pretty attractive, but it is definitely a 'soft' ride and down-grade performance wise. the interior is good or better material. I have the bubble seat, which had been replaced just a few months ago; the crackles and crinkles of the G's interior is annoying; and of course the terrible services from Infiniti.
IS350 would be great w/ manual trans.
like many others said, I don't track the G, so performance is not too big of an issue. definitely something to think about... especially the price!

I drove IS250 of my friends for about 50 miles and I could say it is typical women oriented car, not much power + small + soft ride. It is also very smooth and quiet as any Lexus it has "like in bad" ride effect. Yes, interiors done better than any Nissan but also too much as for my vision.
My G wins for me in 95% of points, possibly only thing I would like from Lexus is Mark Levinson stereo instead of flat/low sound quality Bose (Clarion)

That's brutal, an IS250 is a girl's car and it's very small. The styling is comically old and lazy. You have to realize that manufacturing defects happen to all makes and models. Chances are if you get another Infiniti it will be a great car.

If you go with the Is250, your an idiot, for all the reasons already posted. However, the IS 350 is a different matter, that car is highly mod-able, coil overs, wheels, sways ,intake, exhaust etc, very similar to our G37's, but it will have a nicer interior and have equal performance and IMO, is a very good looking car WHEN modded.....The F is Way over priced I'd rather do the 350. Btw, I also own a gs350 so I know a little about the lexus line, ck out the club lexus IS forum for some really outstanding IS350's

Interesting dilemma, as I also was contemplating between the g37 coupe and IS 250 a year ago when I was purchasing my first luxury car. I never could pull the trigger on the IS because something about the car seemed off to me. I never test drove it, as there was just something about the car that irritated me. And then one day, it finally hit me. When I saw an IS drove past me on the freeway, that's when I finally figured out what was wrong. The car just looked too damn feminine! So, I scrapped the thought of getting the Lexus for the sole reason it just looked too damn feminine and eventually got the g37 instead.
