I mean i do wanna sell the car later on and i'm sure not everyone wants a fancy shifter so yeah i dont know what to do...any one have any suggestions?

i've found posts for a 350z and a g35 but i'm sure the g37 is somewhat different...and couldn't find any posts. This is so annoying.
my choices are: find someone that is trust worthy not to F up anything...or take it to the dealership who already swears they are going to have to damage the shift ****...wtf

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm definitely not worried...however, the shifter is definitely glued and lefty loosey doesn't loosey anything. I'd be glad to pay you the $40.00 that infiniti wants to charge me without damaging my shift **** or anything else lol

If you were closer to me, I'd do it for free, lol. Glued or not, the only way to get it off it to twist it. Put a little elbow grease into it and give it another shot. If you don't want to damage the ****, just use your hands, not any tools obviously....

Ive only had one friend that could remove the shifter without damaging it. He's super strong, but had such soft hands that he didnt damage the shifter at all.
Here's a quick picture of him:
