Car Alarm went off

Hi guys,

I was at the barbershop last night, waiting to get a haircut. I walk in and sit on couch and look at the window and my alarm was going off, headlights flashing (hope it didn't damage my HIDS) and I just turned it off. There was literally nobody around my car, and the panic button was not hit at the keys we're sitting on a table.

Anyone have any idea why this happened? I've seen it do it once before by my house as well, when it was untouched, etc.

more than likely you set it off with the keys in your pocket.

He said the keys were on the table.

Mine has done it a couple times. Once it was literally the middle of the night and I was asleep in bed with the car in the garage and the keys on my desk and it started going off. Strangest thing ever.

Do you guys attach keys to the intelligent key? if so it might set of the panic button but it can scratch your silver part of the intelligent key too..

i think you should just put the keys somewhere else if you keep pressing it by accident.

Fixed it I just got back from dealer they made it so I have to hold it down for 3 seconds before it goes off, much better then barely tapping it.
