Help? Noob Question...

I just took my car to Infiniti and they said it needed an Air Induction Service and the Air Filter needed to be replaced... Are there any DIY on those on the forums? I looked and didnt find one. Thanks for all the help!!

Not sure what a "Air Induction Service" is but the air filters (2) are easy to replace, just a few clips, open up and swap. The In Cabin air filter is a bit harder, need to remove the glove box ... I think there are some DIY out there. I did mine ...check your manual for service intervals but I think they are at 15k mile intervals for both filters.

Here is the cabin filter:

The air induction service sounds like a dealer service and not a manufacturer recommended service

They are probably telling you that it is time to clean your throttle bodies. They can get gunked up after a certain amount of mileage. (Have heard 20K but not sure). There is a DIY for it... I may do it over Xmas holiday.

Hi there,it's actually a good thing that you'll be able to change your air filter. This is one of the maintenance issue being ignored by others. Clogged or dirty cabin air filters can significantly reduce airflow from the cabin vents, as well as introduce allergen to your cabin air stream. This maintenance is as easy as pie if you have a good idea on how to replace it. For one, a simple instruction like this in air filter replacement will help you avoid this problem.

cabin air filter replacement is also easy, just look for its video there. good luck.

I wouldn't assume it was the throttle body at all, but the cabin filter and air filters are more obvious choices. Ask them what they plan on doing. You should have absolutely no problem changing the air filters, and your cabin filter is more than likely still good.
