I was about to say, my neighbor's FX has this issue too. And I've seen others G's and Z's with this issue.

Worth taking to the dealer? It's an hour drive away... And I might end up getting a different exhaust this winter anyways.

you can fix it easely by adjusting the exhaust finish (the chrome end) on the tailpipe.
The chrome finish can be adjusted or even removed from the tailpipe.
If that's not enaugh, you can adjust (bend) the holding arm that hold the resonator in place.

Not sure if this is possible, the chrome piece is welded to the exhaust -At least on my 09

I'd say if you're planning on keeping this exhaust, head to the dealer. Otherwise if you're swapping it out then its a moot point.

Checked again, the bent piping for the tip was welded at the incorrect angle. Definitely not the hangers.

Mine does this too, on the exact same side. Definitely a manufacturing defect. However, nobody notices unless I say anything, and I'm getting a new exhaust here in a couple of weeks so I'm not going to worry about it.

YEP... It is definitely not the hangars... Otherwise my 08 exhaust would not
have been perfectly even... I wasn't going to reply but I see others are now
kicking in with the hangar thought. The INFINITI tech even tried to adjust via
the hangars, but since.... (It's The Welds) He said any adjustment will be same result. I'll deal with it till I install new exhaust

Yeah, I think I'll just have to live with it until I get a new CBE.

I had mine replaced. The replacement was better but still not as good as other G's on the lot. It's a toss up; definitely a quality control issue

Just noticed my exhaust does this today.... Was going to ask the dealership about it when it went in for warranty work next week but this does not seem like something they can fix from what people are saying. I measured and it sits about a .25" lower than the passenger side. Was thinking of getting another exhaust so I hope it doesn't look like that on the new one too..

My OEM was perfectly aligned, my Tanabe is not... it makes me want to hang on the one side and fix it but I doubt it would help.

Not acceptable! Take that back to the dealership or fix yourself.

To fix:
a) You can bend the hang arm
b) adjust the hang arm - with spacers - search forum for details

That's like having your hood not aligned properly - NO f****** way after paying $40,000 +. Even if you lease!
