dang! you're good! pretty close.

I got quoted for $1800+ But this is before the adjusters do their thing.

Looks like I wont be getting a new door. Shop said they can fix that. But I at least emphasized getting the inside door panel replaced. The vinyl and leather are scratched up from all the broken glass.

neighbors across the street said they an alarm go off. I didn't hear it from inside the room in the house. Apparently, the thieves are ballsy enough to proceed even with the alarm going off.

Looks like its was just a nice looking car so they figured something must be inside worth stealing.,

There's something to be said for having an enclosed garage. Have had her now for 9 months and she's (my Gertude) only slept outside when I stay at a hotel for work. Always in sight of my room and the front desk. I hope I never have to deal with that crap. Bloody nuisance. Not as bad as having your house broken into or being robbed at gunpoint but totally unnecessary.

Trust me man, I'd LOVE to have a 2 car enclosed garage. This is Guam and the older houses (built in 1990's and below), do not have closed garages.

Wow Myk..
Sorry to read about the G break in.
I wish I could develop an iPhone app that sends you a text alert when a window is smashed, a door is opened or when the car is moved, when you are not present.

Failing that I'd like to have a 50K volt tazer like set up on all doors with a 2 second warning.
What ever happened to those proximity warning alarms that told you to "STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR"

I remember hearing lots of those in Miami.

Well, I got my door and front left fender replaced and it was over $4K. If you subtract the fender, I'm guessing that's about half...?

Sorry to hear about this. Hope karma gets those f**kers back.

That sucks man!

As for keeping things out of sight remember that a suction cup mark om your window tells a thief you have a GPS or Radar detector.

Also the stock alarms are crap! And yes if an alarm goes off most people don't care and wont bother. You can break the windows on these cars and crawl in and out with no alarm siren going off. What I like about the new Viper alarms is they page you and let you know if your car has issues. Whether someone had just hit your car in the parking lot to someone breaking in. And on that note it will be one of early next years MODs for my G. Yes you'll have 2 key fobs and 2 alarms but its worth it since you can add an impact sensor and proximiety detector.
