I'm pretty sure Kenny said that the ordering has been closed for the 2010 G coupe, which means the 2011 should be right around the corner. If not, then are they going to hold out until mid-December with the low inventory levels that all the dealerships seem to have on the coupe?

Dealers will hold them back a month or two to sell off most of the 2010s so they have more negotiating leverage. 2010s won't sell near their target price if they already have 2011s on the lot and 2011s won't sell near their target price if consumers see a sizable amount of 2010s drastically discounted especially since there are virtually no changes in this year's model.
In 09 they told me (in december) that 2010s are coming in mar/apr because they are "late production" which was probably bs to sell me an 09 they produced too many 09s and it was a bad year for luxury car sales but with all the year end incentives on 09s and insignificant facelift I wouldn't have purchased a 2010 anyway.
This will also give them an opportunity to push some people into other models as well. i went in looking for a blue slate sedan and walked out with a moonlight white coupe, price was right and i'm sure they were happier to move a coupe rather than a sedan (just seems like sedans outsell coupes 5 to 1.) I'm sure there are a few people looking at the sedan that would end up buying an EX or convertible. I was always a sedan guy until this coupe, now it just seems to make more sense. it's so much snazzier.
with the new M i remember the guys up north got them months before people down south because in my region there was a surplus of 2009 Ms. people went into my dealership and were saying they already saw them on the road back home and the clueless sales guy was like I have no idea what car you are talking about "maybe it was some prototype" .
so basically YMMV.
