2 hours later, car is still hot?!?
I am leaving to go away tomorrow am for 2 weeks, and hoping to get some info so I dont have to stress about my car when on vacation. I drove my car for about 15 mins on highway around 60-80 mph, came home parked in garage (its about 80 degrees here). I went back into garage 2 hours later and car is still hot. Most of the heat is up my the sides of the headlights. Maybe I just never noticed, but shouldnt my car be cool to the touch by now? It was not just warm, but hot. I also noticed a line of water, about 6 fet long 4 inches wide underneath the car, I never noticed that before. Is this normal?

ehhh, i've also noticed that most of the heat is above the headlamps, there is no insulation there like on the hood.
the "water" is condensation from your compressor.. you will see condensation drip from any car if you look underneath it. i've noticed g37s leak like crazy, so maybe they have an overly large compressor. The AC is really powerful too, not like on say, a volkswagen.
a car remains hot for about 2-3 hours in warm weather. and warm ~120 degrees for up to 6 or 7 hours I would imagine.
if you leave and come back after 2 hrs and check your temp gauge will still be somewhere towards the middle.

Our cars do run quite hot. When it's raining and I'm stopped at a light, I'll see steam or smoke coming out of the grille - if the conditions are just right.

Yep they do run hot. I had to keep my car at the dealership overnight because 2 hours had passed and my engine temperature was still hot at 190 degrees.

They couldn't figure it out. They had to use a fan for 4 hours plus they let it sit over night for it to actually cool down so that they could check out the engine.
