The bolts are metric M6(1.0) x 26mm length.

The dealer did my first oil change and they somehow magically loss 2 bolts.

wish I can buy this somewhere online so that I don't have to drive to the dealer, it is kinda out of the way between home / work. Google it for a while but couldn't fine any that looks like what we have for engine lower cover.

Lowe's or Home Depot will have some. If you want exact replacements I have some spares.

my dealer also forgot to place those two bolts and found out via the flapping sound and the shield half way on the ground already

I was going 85+ and noticed that this was about to fall out. sounded like the windshield was going to collapse. Got underneath, found 3 out of the 4 bolts missing. I got some washers, and the bolts. Torque it up, hit 85 MPH and higher and all good to go!

I would go to the dealer and ream them a new one!

Nothing pisses me off more than a "mechanic" who leave out hardware...

The splash shield seems as if it is an annoyance to the person changing the oil. The first time I looked at the shield and its mounting hardware, I honestly felt like at some point in my car's past the person working on it said **** it and it ripped it down. I doubt any road debris would cause so much tearing at corners and incorrect sized hardware down there.

Thanks for the bolt sizing. I am going to take another look and try and get the correct hardware in there. I have some screws and zip ties holding it up since someone lost the hardware, or stripped the backing bolts.

Doesn't matter; a professional mechanic should replace every friggin' bolt or be hung from a tree...

That is very true....at least the part that a professional mechanic should replace every bolt. I can't imagine a place that doesn't and stays in business. I mean that's your job, most people who do half their job gets fired...right

Years ago when I lived in Miami I took my Fiat Spyder to a shop to get the plastic rear window replaced. When I got it back the rag top was all loose; I looked under the trim and the morons who did the work had replace only 2 out of 8 screws that secured it.

Fortunately, they were so lazy they had left the rest just lying on the floor under the rear seat cushion so I was able to replace them easily.

When I told the shop owner about it he just shrugged; I wanted to kill him...
