Just Bought an '08 G37, Advice...
I just bought an '08 G37 5AT, black ext with blk/stone int. It has 18K miles and has navigation, OEM 19" wheels, Bose, moon roof etc...
The dealer wanted $32,500 and I got them to settle for $29K. I could've kept looking around and got a better deal probably but its hard finding a used car with exact features i wanted, nav/camera, 19" wheels but not the sport package (don't like the S front bumper) etc... all without being beat to hell like most I've seen.
I've been lurking in myG37 for a while, but now that I own I wanted some advice. What are some must have mods or things to look out for on my G? I've been reading about Black Betty's grounding cables, warned about peeling of dash trim pieces. Anyone have experience with these things?
Thanks from the noobie

Not bad.
I got my 08 5AT G37 Sport in PG w/ Stone (Nav and Bose 11spk incl.) for $29k back in July, but mine had 23k miles on it as well.
Only mod I've done to mine so far is put in 5K white license plate lights to give it a more "premium" look. I plan to get an exhaust and intake soon, and then go from there. I want the grounding cables as well, but I may wait on those since prices dont really fluctuate on them.

Not bad. I got 08 black max optioned 6mt for $30.5K with 10k miles back in april.
Def add an exhaust system, I liked my G 10x better after doing an exhaust and high flow cats. I went with the fast Intentions carbon fiber catback and HFC.
You can find some good exhausts pretty frequently in the classifieds on this site. Just keep an eye out.

The only must have IMO is to get a drop. The stock ride height on these cars is a bit high for my taste, and many others. Eibach Pro Kit is a fav among many forum lurkers, but there's plenty other brands out there as well.
The car is pretty good as is out of the box. I'm not familiar with any issues in particular since I'm a new owner myself, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride. I surely don't have any regrets. 5,800 miles and counting...

2 HID WHITE 5K HIGH POWER LICENSE PLATE MAP PARKING LED BULBS 194 168 158
Those are the LEDs I used for the license light. Took 3 min to swap them out.
As for differences in Bose systems, I dunno. I thought the base system was also a Bose system, just had fewer speakers. The one I have is the Studio on Wheels, with 11 speakers (2 are subs), it sounds pretty good, just wish the Bass kicked a little bit harder, but it's much better than my last car, so no complaints.

Yes, definitely interior LED swap and Eibach springs.

Frankly I would not go with 8000K headlights = Blue = Rice = takes away from the G. My 5000k bulbs look pure white ... if that's what you want. Most 6000K have a hint of blue even though they shouldn't.

8K are probably legal, but IMHO look dumb. I don't even like 6K, but some people do like a bit of blue. I had 5k on my last car, and I'd like to have it on this car, but I can't justify spending more money for a .7K difference (stock at 4.3K).
If you really like the blue, get it, but I had 6500K bulbs that looked terrible and ricey. Pure white gives that nice "premium" feel over the yellow, but any blue at all looks bad. Again this is my OPINION. I prefer to stay away from the Blue, but that's just me.
