Engine Ticking?

Hey,
I noticed when i opened my hood i hear a ticking noise near the passenger side throttle body.... if i rev it'll go away and then when it idles or is at like 1000rpm it will still be there. cant hear it if im sitting in the car, but only outside.

Anyone know? or anyone else have this?

you didn't answer my question.

are you still using conventional oil? it's most more than likely your VVEL is making that noise. i had that when i bought my car and they reflashed it and used ester oil, noise never came back.

bank2 looks like you will get a free ester oil change and ECU reset that will fix the problem then if u want to make sure it doesnt come back you have to keep paying up the rear end for ester oil

you can buy other synthetic oil that has ester based which will be significant cheaper than the dealers $12 per quart.
