Going to Buy a 08' G37 Have some Concerns Please Help

I am looking at buying a 08' G37 with 30,000 miles on it. I have a couple concerns, I have heard that they have had clutch problems and Stereo Problems. Have a lot of people had these problems? Any other problems I should be looking for in these cars? Also would it be possible to put a double din Kenwood deck instead of the stock deck? Any Help is very appreciated.

Thanks

Problems people have are usually car specific. If the clutch problems your referring to are in the other thread here its like one or two people with random clutch issues. Any real "common" problems are fixed under the TSB's. Just check the car out as you would any other car. Good luck and welcome to the owners club

Tech Service Bulletin, all covered under warranty. The factory warranty is 4yrs/60k bumper to bumper and 6yrs/70ks powertrain

Oh thank you. Does the warranty still good if I do mods like wheels, lowering kits, exhaust, or intake?

I just turned 30k on my '08 G37S and I have not had any problems. I have driven it as a daily driver in all weather conditions for 1.5 years and couldn't be happier. I like the stereo, as I am an audio buff--perhaps better highs would be in order, but it's a nice stock system.

I think the 3 most common issues are the seat bubbling . . . high pitched noise coming from the ecm . . . and the battery. Do a search on those issues.

I have an '08 Journey at 17.5k and reliability's definitely not an issue(I'm in Chicago so winters can be hectic). The only minor blip I've had with my car's been recent, which is a brake whine whenever I brake slowly but I'll have the dealer look at it since I'm almost to my maintenance mileage mark.

Be concerned about the extreme joy you will have from driving such a wonderful machine. It's a Nissan man. Fill it up with gas, change the oil, and drive...you're good.

Seriously, you can have problems with any car. Heard there were clutch problems and stereo problems? If you read and search long enough you will find some of these things here and there but as a whole, these are great cars for so many reasons. Hear this...bought mine with 28k on it and now have 42k. No clutch problems, stereo is pretty damn good, fun to drive, fun to mod, or fun to just sit outside and look at.

Go get it and dirve it like it was stolen!
