REAL carbon fiber?!

I found the wrote sub-topic to post, but I don't have rights? Awaiting or something... but anyways I was on the phone and a guy quoted me around 5-9k grand for REAL carbon fiber. He said he put it in a Porsche and it cost the guy around 9 grand. He said imitation is a couple hundred. Didn't know there was an imitation of carbon fiber?

what are you talking about doing in CF? Kinda need to know how much area we are talking about lol

if you are looking at doing the interior in CF it depends on wet/dry. Dry carbon for the interior will be AT LEAST $4K. Wet would still be expensive but much less for sure.

He is talking about real CF replacements. For interior you can get the OEM pieces wrapped in real CF for a lot cheaper. Or the last option is fake CF overlays. I would not recomend that as it looks cheap.

Well the guy said we can either do real carbon fiber for 5-9k grand or imitation carbon fiber for a couple hundred. Is the second option the one you don't recommend..?

If money is a factor then I would suggest getting the stock pieces wrapped in CF, not full replacements.

If $ is not a factor, then full replacements it is.

Get wrapped in real CF. It looks great, fits perfect and cost way less. The only reason I would go full replacements is to save weight which with interior pieces, how much are your really saving?

Yes get it wrapped in real CF. It would be way less than 4k for sure. Guaranteed fitment too. Comes with automotive clear coat or semi-matte clear. PM me or danny@limited edition

This guy you talked to is an idiot.

Just cause its wrapped in CF doesnt make it fake. lol

It would be ridiculously hard to make full replacement pieces cause of the clips and screw holes that they would need. Thats why its so expensive.

lol i agree with STOOF.. he's making you look like a fool. And as everyone is saying, you should get it wrapped in real CF. That means guaranteed fitment and it's basically still real CF. And besides, full CF replacement cost toooo much and will look the same anyways, just saving u some weight but that's about all the differences there is. Oh and the fitment will not be 100%

Just don't get CF overlays, those look really tacky.
