Hot in GA! Try Phoenix in July... That's freaking HOT. My suggestion is as what other have said, tint (legal), get a windshield shade and don't forget to close the sub roof sun shade if you have one. Also, I try to park my car so it's in the shade during the hottest part of the day.

Nothing beats the black interior, it adds so much to the car regardless of the exterior color.
I have 20% tint, and that seems to cool down the inside of my G drastically. On those extra hot Cali days I throw up the sun shield and it works wonders!

i got 1 of these from the dealership and it fits very good...def worth the extra $$ to get a custom fitted one. Don't even have to flip the visors to keep it in place.

^^ Thanks for that.

How much did y'all pay for your tints? I understand that you get what you pay for, and I'm willing to get the best.

$150 but I think that might be on the low end for a quality job.

I would say use 303 Aerospace for the leather.

Good to know this works good! I just ordered the same but custom fit the convertible. It's getting hot in herr... LOL. This should cool things off.

Didn't know about the fob window-roll-down job
Wonder if it works on JDM.

I wish we got the air conditioned seats option like the verts do. They would be great with black seats. Maybe next year.

Personally, I am very glad I went away from black interior this time around. But in all honesty, any color interior gets friggin hot in direct summer sunlight. No matter the color of your interior, tint and a sunshield will definitely help. It'll also help block the UV rays from killing your interior (in the long run).

I've lived in both (4 years in each) and I would choose AZ heat over GA heat for sure!!! Humidity drives up the heat index like the housing market prices were driven up just before the bubble popped!

I live in Bahrain, and temperatures here reach 50c. Leaving my car for half an hour in the sun would make it unbearable, but having the AC on full blast helps. Wouldn't trade my black interior for anything though.

RE: "Anyone else rethinking their BLACK interior?"
No way... Man I have done the lighter colored interior thing... Cleaning scuff marks, trying to keep carpet nice... Black takes care of all that, you just wipe it down and done!
What killed it for me was always fighting shoe scuff marks all over door panels, console area near floor, floor mats, carpet etc. I had a White 72 Olds 442 convertible with custom white leather interior and white canvass top and you still burned your **** up when you sat in the car on a hot summer day in Texas!

Very little difference in the heat with black or white:
How much hotter is a black car than a white car in the sun?

I've seen too many non-black interiors with early scuff marks and other signs of wear that wouldn't show on black, so I have absolutely no regrets.
