Mobile 1 for G

Costco having Mobile 1 sythetic motor oil on sale right now with discount coupon, do you know if 5W-30 should be OK for G?

5-30W is exactly what you should be using, regardless of brand

BMW didn't recommend using Royal Purple in their vehicles, said it didn't meet their specification as Mobile 1 and Castrol did.

Take a look at the UOA thread. Everyone's opinion based on whatever it's based on means nothing without science to back it up. Used oil analyses aren't biased and don't lie. See what's actually happening inside your engine with a given oil and make your decision based on that rather than slick marketing and conjecture.

Yea, Costco had $9 discount coupon on Mobil1 (box of 6 qt.). Normally sold @ $33 plus tax. I only picked up 2 cases since I had 2 more 5 qt. jugs leftover which I had picked up from Walmart. Great deal tho!

Why not? And what is "guys on driver"?

A little help finding the UOA thread? I did a search for UOA and found nothing. Would love to read more details on RP for our G's.

Right, 3 boxes limit with this coupon, so I took 3. Great oil as I know.

I did my 2nd oil change about 800 miles ago. The first one was done by the dealer with their regular oil and the last one I did myself with the Nissan Ester oil and an OEM filter. Since this last oil change, I have had a noticable increase in gas mileage without any change in driving habits.
