Can anyone diagnose this problem with my g37
driving to work this morning and the car seems like its shaking like a message chair, then when i come to a stop (red light) then you can really tell how bad the car is shaking, almost to the point where i wanted to get out and shut it off....but i didnt.....2mins later the service engine light starts blinking and symptoms persist for 3 more mins. Then everything goes away, the light and the shaking go away. I tried to turn off car and start the engine back up and now it seems like it takes 1-2 more secs then it ever did to start the car back up.???????????????????

Funny, this exact thing happened to the G I test drove at Modern. They didn't know what was going on with it, but I never saw it again lol
Report back with what the exact diagnosis is, I'm really curious.

I had a somewhat similar issue with the exception that my Service Engine light came on solid and the ECU went into limp mode.
Sounds like something related to VVEL timing control went sideways which results in the rough idling and service engine, but it probably reset itself which is why the light went out. Nonetheless there should be a code stored for the service tech to pull.
My problem was apparently an Intake Timing Control Valve solenoid which adjusts VVEL intake timing. When that valve is not working properly the air/fuel/timing goes off which results in similar issues like you described. There's really no need to tow the car if you're close to the dealer but better to be safe.

said there just starting to take a look at it now and its hard to figure out what it is because its not a common problem. so they have do do a process of elimination using their book with the codes in it, who the hell knows

he called back and said too much mass airflow caused the problem which is a result of the air filters they replaced last year when i had the water damaged engine. he said the ones they got from infiniti werent as durable as some of the ones they have at the store, and hell road test it and make sure its good to go...
