15,000 mile service
So I have only gotten regular oil changes at the recommended intervals (3750, 7500, 11250). I am now up for the 15k mile service. I called South Bay Infiniti (I'm in Los Angeles) and they quoted me $400 for the premium service. This seems a tad high to me.
I am not DIYer so I won't be doing any of this on my own, but does this estimate seem right? Thanks in advance.

Alright I'm going with South Bay's service. LMAO I called a couple other local dealerships and this is what I was quoted:
Cerritos Infiniti: Premium 15k service $466
Glendale Infiniti: Premium 15k service $589
South Bay Infiniti: Premium 15k service $398

You guys are nuts. Do the action items (oil, filters, etc.) ala carte, and skip inspecting the blinker fluid.
There's a "confessions" series on Edmunds, and one is a Service Advisor explaining that they are essentially salesmen, and work on commission. They make more money by convincing you to do unncessary service. Keep that in mind. These guys might be very nice, but they are NOT your friends and are there only to separate you from your money, and will often exaggerate the truth to make that happen.
Calling and asking them how much a 15k service costs is music to their ears. XX,XXX mile service intervals is how they make their money. Just go ala carte and let the next guy fund their kid's college tuition.
I have had experiences that back this up. I took my wife's truck in for service, and used a coupon for an air filter. The service advisor got pissed because I was "cutting into his commission", and I heard him badmouthing me to the receptionist while I was waiting for the truck. Two guesses as to whether I've been back there again...

Yup...the 15K service is a total scam....it's a glorified oil change and air filter replace....it supposed to include tire rotation but that doesn't even apply to our cars...LOL.

How important is the in-cabin filter and engine air filter replacement?
I called them up again and asked for pricing on these two items. I just read the DIY and although I still don't trust myself doing it, it is NOT worth what they quoted me.
In-cabin filter (parts&labor): $159
Engine air filter (parts&labor): $48
Anyway, I'm going to go in there with my own oil and will ask to see the empty bottles when they're done. I also am thinking of just canceling the in-cabin filter change and the engine air filter change. Is this ok?

the engine air filter, as long as I'm thinking of the right filters (just the OEM intake filters right?), takes maybe 2 seconds to change out
There is no reason to pay the dealer that money

You do not need to be a mechanic to change out the engine air filter and the cabin filter. The engine air filters have 2 clips on each side. it will literally take you less than a minute to change. The cabin filter takes a little longer but is by no means hard. Take some time and do it yourself and save tons of money.
I just had a "15K" service and it cost me about 100 bucks only because they used the Nissan Ester oil. Its about 15 bucks a quart. Also changed my key fob battery ( $4 bucks). All the rest was labor. I took a look at my engine air filter and although they were a bit dirty, they were still good. As long as you can see ample light through the filter, you are ok. So I just shook out the loose dirt and put them back in.
