And where do you get these numbers for better "speed"? Yeah it sure as hell may feel faster when your tearing the crap out of your tranny but lets see how long it lasts at that rate.

Best launch with AWD G37x:
VDC off.
Start in Manual mode.
Floor it from Idle when ready.
Shift to 2nd at 7000 (so the slight delay causes a shift right at 7600 on the tach (it reads slightly high))
Immediately move shifter to D, and then to DS, and let computer do the rest.
You may notice that the 2-3 shift seems to happen early, but keep in mind the TC is slipping in 1/2, while it locks in 3rd+
