^That's what I was thinking. I was like, "why would you want to pretend you're a 6mt?" LOL

No, it gives better speed. than flooring and shifting the same time without letting go gas.

well whatever floats your boat, go for it.
ill stick to my method.

And where do you get these numbers for better "speed"? Yeah it sure as hell may feel faster when your tearing the crap out of your tranny but lets see how long it lasts at that rate.

If you are letting off the gas every time you shift and then flooring it, isn't that going to hurt your 1/4 time? I am trying to understand your logic here.

I am not talking about cruising around the streets.

If your dad paid $55k for this car, he was severely ripped off.

Back on topic. LOL

$46k, not including tax, do the math.

Money isn't a factor to him.

Apparantly, but for that kind of money I can think of 5 other cars I'd rather purchase. Oh well.

Then he still got ripped off. No need to through numbers around. I'm pretty sure we're all aware of what it costs. lol

Best launch with AWD G37x:

VDC off.

Start in Manual mode.

Floor it from Idle when ready.

Shift to 2nd at 7000 (so the slight delay causes a shift right at 7600 on the tach (it reads slightly high))

Immediately move shifter to D, and then to DS, and let computer do the rest.

You may notice that the 2-3 shift seems to happen early, but keep in mind the TC is slipping in 1/2, while it locks in 3rd+

Purely hearsay from the AWD guys.
