Can a bike fit in a G37 coupe trunk w/ the seats folded down?

I'm thinking about trading in my 08 sedan for a coupe and was wondering if it's possible to transport a smallish road bike (side 52 cm) or a mountain bike (16") in the trunk and back seats folded down.

Can this be done w/ just the front wheel removed? Or is it basically just not possible to fit anything that big through the smallish trunk?

Yes. I have searched and saw the threads on bike carriers, tow hitches, etc. I'm looking for an easy way to just throw the bike in the car and go.

Thanks.

Take the bike to the dealership with you and tell them you want to test it out, if it fits you'll buy... youtube it, it will be funny to watch them get it to fit for the sale!

Most random question yet lol. Does a bike even fit in the sedan trunk. I highly doubt it. However my catback exhaust did, so who knows. Only one way to find out.

No it won't and that's official, especially if it's a mountain bike.

One way to find out, try it out! The trunk in the coupe is super shallow...

Get a folding bike like a Dahon or Brompton and they will fit. I have a Dahon and it fits in just about any car wheels intact.

Yes, it will fit but you have to remove the front wheel and stick it in the trunk.

It will fit. I have an 08 coupe and I can fit a 62cm road bike in the trunk. I have to fold the seats down, and take the front and rear wheel off. Place the front fork and handlebars through the trunk and into the cabin. Then lay the wheels on top of the bike in the trunk. Fits no problem. Only takes about 2 minutes to pack and unpack, especially if you remember to have the chain on the small chainring and small cog when you take the rear wheel off.

I would think that a small mountain bike should fit in with just the front wheel removed.

Thanks for the replies guys. Wow. All over the board.

My questions for those who got their bikes to fit - do you think it's possible with just the front wheel removed?

Assume this is a 52cm road bike as I think I'll just take my wife's SUV if I go mountain biking.

Off topic...You may be dissapointed with the power that the 7 speed coupe has compared to your sedan....Just traded my 07 G35X for 10 G37X and even though there is 30 more HP, there is not much low end torque.....Still a great ride but the trans makes it run "too smooth" if you know what I mean.

I can fit my 54cm Cannondale System Six in there no problem without even having to take off the back wheel. Just take off the front, and make sure the pedals are arranged correctly so that you can fit the handlebars through the opening to the cabin. It should be no problem!
