Regarding the lemon law, did you use an attorney?

Should I just call the number posted?

I even think that they give you Lemon Law information in the papers when you buy the car? They did in CT.

But if it's really that long that will be a quick "lemon" or even a buy back.

looks like lemon law only is good for one year after delivery or 12000 miles, which ever is sooner. i got my car June 2008. I'll have to deal with Infiniti consumer affairs.

Well even if you do they should give you some cash back. I had BMW give me some money back for far less than that.

Tony, I don't know if this will be useful or not. My first lemon was
in Hawaii, while I was in the military. The Military Legal office
helped me prepare documents, but did not reprsent me. I was
young and can tell you that the legal assistance was valuable
in that they helped me prepare documentation in a more
professional and concise package. Once it was established
that I had a lemmon, they offered me my choices.

My second lemon was in California and I did everything
myself without a lawyer. I basically had to put up with
the car there until the year was up. Just like clockwork,
on day 366 after purchase the factory rep called me and
offered a buy-back.

Each state is different. I would recommend that you
ask the Attorney General's office whether they recommend
getting a laywer, or perhaps ask them what % of casses
are successful with lawyers and what % are successful
without lawers or some questions along those lines. Some
states also have a consumer advocacy office that can
help.

Good luck

You must have bad luck to have 2 lemons. I bought 12 new cars (between 2 people) for the last 13 years and I haven't got 1 yet.

My family and I (3 people) had 6 lemons in 20 years. I've also lemoned numerous cars for clients. It's relatively easy in Florida, and it seems ours is for 2 years from the date of purchase...

Good luck! There may be a breach of warranty claim you may also be able to bring, but it doesn't seem like you're that far along. In no way am I even remotely qualified to give legal advice on Georgia law, so if in doubt, consult an attorney. At the very least they should give you a free consultation...

Since you can "LEMON" a car for as little as them not having a part for 30 days it's not actually that rare that if you were mad enough to go through with it.

It's not always advantageous financially to do it since there are taxes and stuff you don't get back..and use of the car. Sometimes it's better to just let them compensate.

I don't think of it as bad luck as much as I do bad quality and
bad dealerships. I've had 23 new cars so far. The Hundai
had bad main bearings and the dealership just refused to
tear it down until they had exhaused their three attempts
to fix it and a combined 30 days to get the parts and do
the work. It was much lihe Tony's story, the OP of this
thread. They did the work and fixed the car, just not
within a reasonable time and I presssed the issue and
got a brand new car for one that had 45K on it.

Second was a Ford Mustang with multiple small issues
When changing a windshield that leaked, the wind
caught it and ripped off the top of the door frame
and ruined the paint on the roof and trunk and
ripped off the spoiler, After repainting and a
new windshield that still leaked, the oil pump
failed and it was in the shop 35 days of the
first 6 months I had it. I filed a California Lemon
law complaint.Ford offered a buy-back or
a new car. I took the new car, and Ford built
me a new next model year Mustang GT with every option
and paid all taxes and registration....They even
let me drive the old car for free while
I was waiting for my new car to be built
Ford was very good about it....but they
also knew my family had purchased
33 Fords!

I contacted Infiniti consumer affairs and they are having a regional manager for my area contact me on Monday. They took down the dealership address, etc.

I guess I will try to get at least one month's car payment reimbursed. What do you guys suggest I argue for?

I'm also going to bring up the fact that I had to get a new exhaust system put in because of that exhaust rattle that many of us encountered, and also that the battery died after 10K miles.

The idea is simple. Push for a lot more to get what to want.
