the G37 came out 2008 and the new 7AT in 2009, 2010 basically nothing but just a different set of packages which in the end is the same. Do you think for 2011 there will be a major change such as a different chassis, more hp such as DI, a new AT tranny, or do you think for 2011 there will just be no changes like 2010.

I'm gonna go with no more changes until the next generation G in 2-3 yrs. Even SRM is doubtful in my mind.

 

I doubt any changes. Since the M is getting redone for 2011, wouldnt make sense to put out a new G at the same time. it would just create internal competition

They will make minor changes to the exterior like when they updated the 2006. 2005 got the new interior and they changed the exterior in the fourth year, 2006.

 

so i guess 2012 or 2013 will be the redesign with a new engine/tranny etc.?

 

5 year cycle.... so 2013 model will get a makeover... maybe sold in 2012 as a 2013 model

My gut feeling/guess would be minor changes for 2011 also, and then 2012 or 2013 will be the next G cars. Some may depend on the economy too, does Nissan/Infiniti think it's wise to have a new model or better to "milk" the current design before putting in the R&D costs for a new generation of "G's".

 

Talked to the guy at the dealership and he said won't change for about five years so 2013 or 2014 we should see change.

 

You can't change something so perfect.

 

nothing much will change,. maybe a few options, or some subtle changes (i.e. 350z's had regular tail lights upgraded to led tails in '05) maybe a bump in HP from 330 to 335 or 340.

and to the person who said they would put SRM on the G. please dont make me cry i am not a fan of the SRM
