2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe Press Kit (no pics)

2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe Press Kit: (No pricing or pictures yet.)

Nissan/Infiniti News Room

“Enhancements for the 2010 model year are primarily concentrated inside the beautiful G Coupe body. The previous “Washi” aluminum trim is replaced by a new “Shodo” style trim, inspired by the traditional art of Japanese calligraphy, on all models. The previous African Rosewood wood accents have been replaced by new, high-gloss Maple Accents. Other changes include the addition of standard 8-way power passenger seats on all models, a new center console design on automatic transmission-equipped models and a number of package content changes, such as the addition of the Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS) with Plasmacluster™ air purifier to the Technology Package and making RearView Monitor standard on most models.”

Options:

Maple Accents: High-gloss Maple accents on center console, instrument panel and doors.
Aero Kit: Unique front fascia, rear fascia, side sills, rear decklid spoiler, black grille.

Is this the first year for the black grille option?

Black grill was always an option. I'm curious about the aero kit. Wonder if it is just the sports package

I think it's probably just the sports package with a fancy name...but it will be interesting to see a 08/09 side by side with a 2010. There are a lot of changes I dont really like though that I am happy I have on my 09 (like AFS, motorized lumbar support, etc -- no deal breakers but nice little stuff to have )

They have the decklid spoiler and black grille in the Aero Package but not in the Sport Package.

Also looks like the fog lights will still be integrated and not separated like the 2010 Sedan.

Highly Seductive Styling:
Exterior highlights include flowing front fender curves, a wave-style hood, expressive front fascia with Infiniti’s signature double-arch grille and L-shaped High-Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional Xenon headlights with integrated fog lamps.

It could be another name for the sports package, or it could be some different lips and diffusers, like Nissan did with the Aero package on the Murano. Who knows.

I am glad that I have my 08 coupe- definatley like the AFS and motorized lumbar support. I think that after having AFS for 2 years, that could be a dealbreaker for me.

Am I missing something? The new models will also have lumbar support.

What is AFS?

The new models will have manual lumbar support, a lever on the side of the seat that you manually adjust.

AFS is adaptive front lighting system- the headlights will move left and right as you drive the car to give you more light when you go into turns. Its a great feature.

Ah cool.

Where does it say in the press release that it will have manual lumbar support (as opposed to automatic?) and that it won't have AFS?

If you click the link and read through the article, nowhere in the technology package is AFS listed. The power lumbar was mentioned in another article somewhere on this site. (I can search for it later.)

No worries, I don't mean to knit-pick. I'm just looking forward to buying a 2010 model so I'm trying to get my facts straight.

Looking in my 2009 G37 Coupe brochure, it says "adjustable lumbar support". The 2010 press release says "driver’s seat power lumbar support" which seems to imply the same thing?

Anyway, probably not a big deal either way. You're right about AFS though, no mention of it.

The midnight black grille was not an option for the 08 model, even when I went to the dealership a month ago they acted like I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about. They ended up finding it though after an hour and a half.
